Would like to thank all the staff for a great night and meal we had last night. We had the 10 course taste menu and it was well worth the cost. Every course was sublime. I can't recommend this place more highly.

We had the most amazing evening meal at the Driftwood on Friday! Chris Eden the Michelin Starred chef absolutely hit it out of the ball park!! We had the A Là Carté 3 course menu, it was stunning! The service was amazing from start to finish and every single person knew the entire breakdown of every dish, with all elements deconstructed perfectly! Absolutely faultless as was expected.



Next time we're definitely having the 8 course taster menu. Would recommend every day of the week and 10 times on a Sunday!! Chris Eden … #ChefLegend!

Unbelievably brilliant all round!! ���

This was a surprise birthday treat and it didn't fail to deliver as the perfect present. We were shown round at check in and made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely with fabulous views across the garden to the sea. Despite the weather being rather inclement we explored the grounds and got down to the lovely quiet beach. This would be so special in good weather; the grounds have inviting chairs to relax on to enjoy the views and a decking area where one can sit and enjoy a peaceful drink - would love to experience the outdoors in the sun!

We enjoyed a glass of champagne whilst perusing the evening menu which had wonderful choices. Once at our table the waiters were very attentive and knowledgable about the food which was beautifully presented and utterly superb to eat with wonderful flavours to savour. Fine dining at its best.

Breakfast was equally as good with great choice at the buffet and excellent selection of cooked. Gluten free was no problem at either meal.

Loved every minute and appreciated the attentiveness and friendliness of all the staff.

Definitely will return.

I would personally like to thank Mr Chris Eden and all of his team for a wonderful meal we had with you last night. We were with Barbara And Mark Sadler and although they are a regular patrons at the restaurant, we where all made to feel like VIP's and not take their custom for granted.



We opted for the 3 course menu. I personally had divine scallops to start with followed by Sautéed John Dory, Cauliflower, Vanilla, Lime & Curry, although Marks main course of Terras Farm Duck Breast, Confit Leg Cromesqui, Pickled Cherry, Spiced Carrot & Chicory looked equally as good and the dessert of Driftwood Chocolate Bar, Salted Peanut, Honeycomb & Milk Sorbet was just inspired.



The whole experience did not end there Chris decided that he would intersperse the meals with a soupçon of different items off the menu. I am 55 next year and I can honestly say I think I had the best dining experience of my life. Thank you from me and my taste buds.

I wanted to keep this place secret however I'd not be doing justice to the great people at Driftwood by not shouting about it.....this is a fabulous hotel. The rooms, food, wine and location are all wonderful, the team is friendly, informal and incredibly professional. So there you are, if you are intend to hotel in Cornwall this lovely treat must be at the top of your list.

I have been staying at the Driftwood for the last few days. It's fab. I could easily wake up to the view everyday. The staff are so kind, and the bed so comfortable, it feels like home.



The restaurant is also great. Innovative, beautifully presented food which tasted amazing, served by knowledgable and friendly staff (a big shout out to Guy and James!). It was the first time that my mum had dined in a Michelin starred restaurant and she was a bit hesitant at first, but she loved it (so much so she wants to arrange a family get together here!).

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel on Monday. Food totally amazing and staff wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Had an amazing overnight birthday stay here with dinner and breakfast. The room was beautiful, food was amazing and service top notch. The gardens and walk down to the private beach was lovely, even with the Cornish mizzle! I'd love to return in the summer!

First visit but will definitely be back. Everything about the hotel is 5 star, especially the food and service. The stunning location is the icing on the cake. Might not be far from home but feels like a different world.

Faultless acccommodation, location, staff and restaurant. A superbly run establishment with a wonderful relaxing feel. By the way, what's wrong with those Michelin guys, I mean only 1 star? It seems to me that at least the second is well overdue!

Down here for our 30th anniversary we came and stayed at pendower beach hotel for our honeymoon (now closed). Driftwood is spot on, everyone works as a team good atmosphere in the hotel menu's are faultless, we had the vegetarian tasting menu to see what it was like as creating dishes for vegetarians can be difficult. Can only commend the chef's in the kitchen it was fantastic.

Brilliant hotel couldn’t fault it one little bit. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Food wonderful. We will be back!

Amazing! Everything from the service to the dining atmosphere and the food was perfect. Each dish on the tasting menu we had was beautifully presented and full of flavour and invention. Couldn't fault this place at all! Thank you for a lovely evening!
