COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to the latest UK update regarding the closure of all schools as of Friday 20th March, and following the advice given by sporting governing bodies advising the suspension of group exercise, it is with great sadness that we have had to make the difficult decision to suspend training at our martial arts venues for the foreseeable future. The classes on Thursday 19th March at Worcester and Droitwich will still be going ahead but these will be our last face-to-...face classes.
We said at the start of the week we would keep classes going for as long as possible. As the situation is rapidly changing, our main priority is the safety and well-being of our students and instructors.
You received emails earlier this week with an update outlining how we are going to manage your martial arts training in the event of closure and we will move forwards with our plans to take our services fully online for our current members.
We are obviously heart broken to have to make this decision, as we have built a strong Worcestershire Martial Arts community, which is like an extended family to us! We will still be hosting a number of online challenges, competitions and training opportunities in the coming weeks, and we are looking forwards to seeing everyone getting on board!
If you aren’t a member of the WMA Facebook group, please join ASAP to keep in touch with us and the rest of your classmates! Also keep an eye on emails (including junk email), Facebook, and Instagram for further updates, and announcements regarding when classes will be able to resume as normal.

CovID-19
For now we are running the timetable as normal and have no plans to cancel any of our classes.
At WMA we always take the health and well-being of our students seriously, to protect our students and their families we are putting a plan in place to mitigate the spread of illness at our school.
... What are we doing?
The Worcester Dojang is professionally cleaned on a monthly basis, we will review this if the situation worsens in Worcestershire, as we currently have no cases of the virus in the county. In between professional cleans we will keep on top of cleanliness at the Dojang.
The Droitwich Dojang is professionally cleaned regularly due to the village halls policies but they are now providing more soap in the toilets etc.
We are for now restricting the use of the focus mitts and will be opting to use just the Thai pads and kick shields which are easier to clean.
We will not be allowing people to borrow sparring gear from the school for the time being (to be honest you should all have your own anyway).
We also request that students are washing their hands/using hand sanitiser before and after class. We would also remind everyone that hand wash is available in the toilets so please use it when you go to the toilet.
All equipment will be wiped down regularly.
If you are feeling at all unwell that you do not come to class and you call 111 if you are feeling unsure about your illness.
If the school does need to close for any reason we will update students on our arrangements to keep everyone healthy, active and learning the martial arts.
