Once you have bought and fitted your Diesel Tuning Box from DTUK you can expect between 20-40% more power and torque. You will also notice that your engine will run with a new smoothness that it has to be driven to be believed. Low down "flat spots" will virtually disappear on your Car, Van or even MotorHome and will pull through the gears with much more ease. You should also see an improvement in your vehicles fuel economy too, usually a 2-5 mpg improvement is achievable as your engines efficiency is maximised.
The idea behind the diesel performance box is to intercept the signal between the vehicle’s ECU and fuel injection system via the common rail or fuel injectors. To understand how the tuning box actually works it is important to understand how the diesel engine works.
In a diesel engine it is only air that is drawn into the compression cylinder, this is then compressed and reaches a very high temperature. When the piston is nearing the end of its cycle fuel is injected into the chamber and ignites due to the high temperature of the air. This gives the power to drive the piston down. There is extra air left in the cylinder after this process, sometimes as much as 50% .
When extra fuel is injected into the chamber more torque and power and is created. This allows the optimum amount of fuel to in injected into each cylinder that results in the engine running more efficiently, and in most cases fuel economy is improved. This is due to the fact that you do not need to use as much throttle to propel your vehicle due to the increased power and torque.

We’ve just updated the DTUK website and have some good news for Audi/VW 3.0 TDI 218/272/286PS and Mercedes 2.0d 194PS owners
As some of you maybe aware the latest 3.0 TDi from Audi/VW and the latest Mercedes 2.0d use SENT digital sensors, to be specific a SENT boost sensor. This differs from the usual analogue sensors and up until today we have offered a module called MP-T which was designed specifically for these new type of sensors.
... From today our CRD3+ that was only suitable for analogue sensors is now capable or controlling various analogue sensors plus 1 SENT digital sensor
So what’s the big deal?
Well where as the MPT box cost between £569 and £619, the CRD3+ is currently discounted on our website down to £399 or £459 inc app control.

It made made car better to drive with the extra bhp. Then I needed something for that extra edge for driving to give it the wow factor. I was advised to get the pedal box +. That was ordered and came next day. I thought I had wrong connection on the end. Simon said no look on top of the gas pedal and you will find the right connection. All plugged in and ready to test. What a difference on the pick up. It was like thrown back into your seat on the sports plus. MEGA IS THE WORD. Ordered my tuning box and pedal box a few weeks ago before I got the car I purchased it for. Arrived the next day even though I told them not to rush as I didn't have the car yet. Just wanted to say how brilliant this system is, I fitted mine to my mk3 TTS yesterday and have been playing with the different settings to find the one I like best, the TTS was quick as standard but this has taken it do a different level, with no trade offs, I have had remaps in the past from well known tuners and all of them have had some sort of trade off, either a loss of low end torque but more power higher up, or they do not run quite a s smoothly as standard, some of them advise changing the plugs to an iridium plug 1 step cooler to prevent detonation! I can honestly say with the DTUK box fitted my car runs just as smoothly as standard but just a lot more power all the way through the Rev range, I found on my car which is DSG that map 3+2 gave the best feel of OEM plus which is what I was looking for.
For anyone considering this system and thinking should I go for it, after experiencing it I would say why wouldn't you go for it! It's OEM Plus and warranty friendly and you keep the box for your next car if you sell the car, it's a high quality kit with an OEM feel to it, and it's easy to fit and i enjoyed fitting it!

I called Andy at home one evening recently. Even though he had his family with him he was more than happy to talk to me and answer all my questions. I have now been driving around with the box fitted for a week now and the car has now done around 1800 miles. Ok, A6 bitdi is quick out the box but all I can say is OMG. It flies and I don't hang around either so getting 40 - 41 mpg on a car with that power that hasn't even been run in yet, is outstanding. Excellent service and excellent product, what more can I say.
