What goes up must come down!
We are calling out for help again from you lovely people for this evening from 6.30pm.
Our marquees need to come down ... And we need as many hands as possible to dismantle without causing damage!
So please if you can spare 30-60 mins this evening from 6.30 we would really appreciate it!

Well what a fantastic day yesterday was! The show was jam packed with talent, it had its drama’s, we had sunshine and all you lovely lot shared it with us! You all know I love the show, for me I see it all! I experience for myself the excitement of competing and joy of winning a rosette (1st-fruit scones, 3rd knitted Santa), having fun encouraging my girls with entries and their excitement when they win, the regular’s who enter and make their entries just so and enjoy the fr...iendly rivalry between others and of course the “newbies” possibly my favourite! The questions and nerves that naturally come with a newbie, followed by sheer elation at winning and being well and truly bitten by the show bug and leave planning what they will enter next year now they see how much fun our show is!
We anticipated the entries being affected by the weather this year, shows across the country have seen it too! But what was lovely is the amount of people that entered classes they don’t normally enter to bump up entries and keep the show going!
What also was fabulous were the wonderful people that volunteered to help the committee! Without them yesterday we truly would have come unstuck so thank you, it was greatly appreciated!
And of course the committee without this wonderful group of people the show would never be what it is! Thank you also to Dennis, Richard, sarah and Rosemary who made sure I sat and ate some food and plied me with tea, water etc or did my running so I could eat. We all have our roles and no role is more important than the other, we all do our jobs and that’s how it all gets done!
The committee feels more like a little family, I know I could ask anyone on it for anything and if they could they would do it. We do work hard for show day but we have so much fun doing it too!
