Lovely place to take the children. A good day out and really good enclosures to see the animals. We bought an annual pass so we can visit more often x

The ladies who do the bookings over the phone are really nice. We booked a feed the tigers experience for my fiances birthday and i must say it was not worth the money. The lady had about 6 pieces of meat in a bowl for us and we fed the tiger 3 pieces each through a small caged window using a wooden stick. We were inside a small cramped corridor with a window at the end facing the enclosure. It was over way too fast and the lady had not prepared enough pieces of meat in my opinion. I just did not feel it was worth the money you pay for these 'special experiences' and the set up could definitely be better. The zoo itself was nice and the castle ruins were a nice extra. You can climb up the castle ruin and get a good view too

Another great day at the zoo. Kids loved the new farm area. Food is pricey. The lorikeets are good fun pay £1 for a pot of sugar syrup then you have winged friends until they are finished. Overall a great day.out.

Beautiful but old zoo in need of a major cash injection. Good variety of animals and a good exercise to walk up and down the steep hills. Reasonable entry price and helpful staff. Animals do seem to be well looked after. But like everything more money needs to be spent to bring it into this century. Overall you could easily spend a few hours here wondering around and still missing things. We were lucky to see a few of the animals being fed like the sea lions and the penguins but the orangutan stole our hearts.

As like many other people, I've been visiting here since I was a young child. Around the year 2000-2002 I believe the Zoo was at its lowest. I don't know what's changed since then but there seems to be a lot of improvements in facilities and enclosures completed and still taking place- this I great!

I have an annual pass for myself and daughter. At this kind of price it's a bargain, we go every couple of weeks, sometimes just for an hour or so.

Lemur walk is great, the lemurs are more comfortable with people than at West Midlands Safari Park. Tiger enclosure is great to get a really good view of them up close. Would be great to see Elephants and Zebras return to the zoo one day.

New additions like Romy the anteater are great, good that they moved the enclosure to help her be more visible.

The one area I don't visit is the chimpanzee enclosure. They have a massive open area they never seem to use. The indoor enclosure in a secluded corner of the zoo is very quiet, they are always rocking and smearing excrement up the walls. Has the feel of a mental hospital, quite a sad ambiance, I won't take my daughter there.

This is a great place to go with your family/friends to spend some time together. There is a lot of walks around and clean area to play for your kids. Places to eat and toilets. My daughter loves at most their Penguins and Meerkats ( that you'll have a chance to touch and if you're lucky they may even seat on your shoulder ) 😉

A lot better than it used to be. Animals look genuinely well cared for and there is lots to see. Less cynically commercial than similar attractions (West Midlands safari park, Sealife centre etc...)
I'd recommend finding an online 2 for 1 voucher if possible.

We have just returned from Dudley Zoo after a day out with my Wife & two boys aged 8 & 3. This is a fantastic zoo in such a beautiful setting. I would highly recommended this as a day out to anyone with children, animal lovers & lovers of historical buildings/ castles (ruins). The falconry talk & demonstration in the castle grounds was excellent & the birds land on a small fence right in front of you. The talks are very good & give you a nice insight into the animals & their background. We got our tickets through Groupon & only paid £20 for all four of us, so was an absolute bargain too.

An interesting place. Having grown up in Dudley it holds so many memories for me. Seeing it as it is now, it's great to see the money invested in it. Not only do they have some amazing animals but their enclosures are getting so much needed TLC. Seeing how they're working with the listed building is impressive. A great day out for the family and it's wonderful to see the chair lift back in operation after 10+ years of it being out of service.
