Excellent Cavery. Every sellection of meat and poultry. Wide choice of vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings to die for. Attentive staff.

We had a lovely spa day, good value for money. They reserved 4 loungers for us, we preordered our lunch and drinks when we arrived, the lady who greeted us and arranged it all was lovely. It was very relaxing. The only reason I haven't rated 5 stars was during a shared back shoulder & neck massage, for some reason the ladies doing the treatments started giggling, which did spoil it a bit as we had no idea what set them off. We fed this back to the lady in charge of the spa, she was professional and apologised profusely and spoke to them both about it.

We got married at the Dudsbury Golf Club last weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Couldn't have had a better wedding. The wedding co-ordinator was amazing and the food and service were fantastic!

The golf course was in great condition. The members and staff were very friendly and accommodating

I know this is a lovely course, as I have played there before. Never been in the main building, but the interior needed a refresh. Drinks were a bit costly, a basic cider was £4 a pint. Food was ok, we had evening wedding food (pork rolls with chips) the baps were dry and could've done with butter. Could be a great venue, back lacks in some areas.

Overall the hotel is good value for money. I stay at the Dudsbury hotel most Tuesday and Wednesday night. And it's a nice feeling when they address you by your name and welcome you back.

However, I would say it does need few improvements:

On three occasions where I have arrived and asked for a specific room and it has not been available and the room that was allocated to me has been either not been prepared or it's a twin bed which was not requested when booking is made.
When I went back to reception to say the room has not been prepared then miraculously the room I would rather is ready!

Also few times where the staff are having a bad day they seem to show it and as guests you can clearly tell. Or if they don't like another staff member it shows!

I have been staying at the Dudsbury for a few months now, but I think it's time for a change.
