About Duke Of Cumberland

The Duke of Cumberland is a well know pub in Cottingham. Situated in the Market Green, we have a prime location in the village. Homemade food, live music !

Duke Of Cumberland Description

The Duke of Cumberland is a traditional, Georgian pub. We're located in the heart of Cottingham, on The Market Green on King Street. We're less then half an hour from Hull City Centre, and accessible by frequent trains and busses, as well as having access to a couple of free near-by car parks.

We aim to make your stay a pleasant one, and strive for great service.

We serve freshly daily prepared home cooked food.
We have a large menu plus also cater for many special dietary requirements.

We have three rooms, a bar, a function room and Ellie Mai's tea room. Whatever your party, please consider calling us for a quote as prices vary competitive and we offer a variety of services to cater to your needs.

We also boast a large beer garden /smoking area, it's a little slice of heaven in those hot summer months, and by winter we have shelter to keep the rain off your shoulders.

We've spent some time decorating and getting the place in tip-top shape so it reflects our efforts behind the scenes. We've recently recieved the coveted Cask Marque of approval, and are also being entered into Cottingham in Bloom for our lovely floral displays.

User

Quick service even though the pub was packed prior to the Bay City Roller concert thanks. Nice wine too!

User

Popped in today with the lady i support. I had a pot of tea and she had a cappuccino. My tea was in a proper tea pot and it was tea leaves not tea bags that is very rare in cafes and tea rooms these days. The lady who served us was lovely. I would definitely recomend to others.

User

Popped in for a spot of lunch, received a warm welcome from the landlord and staff. We both opted for the fish, chips & mushy peas, it was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great service, great standard of food, value for money. Be back soon

Back at the Duke. This is a venue with a great atmosphere, great landlord and landlady, great customers and a real advocate for live music with local bands (not your foreigners at city of culture). It's an absolute pleasure to play here! Come and join us for a great night out!

User

Attended for the spring board festival, and as a bar worker myself the staff were amazing, total team work and loveliness under the pressure. Lovely day thanks to these troopers doing such a good job to ensure a good time was had by all. Continuous cup collection, toilets restocked, suggesting to less busy bars inside and lovely atmosphere all day!

User

Amazing venue for live music for both artists and customers. The duke have lovely staff that go above and beyond aiming always to exceed the customers expectations, the food is also delicious and always served with a smile. The team at Duke never fail to impress me personally and i know many feel the same way. Simply outstanding in everyway possible!

User

Was dead. No atmosphere

User

Waited 45 minutes for our puddings, my niece went to the bar 2 times to find out what was happening, when mine came it was burnt, so I said I did not want it and that I wanted my money back. It took me nearly 20 minutes to get it back.

User

Really disappointed with the place today not been in a while came in today at just gone 12:30 for dinner ordered the famous steak pie to get sat down and 5 mins later the lady came over to tell me they didn’t have any it wasn’t busy only about 6 people in including me and my daughter so I couldn’t understand why. Had the carbonara instead was lovely but really wanted steak pie

User

Can't believe the cheek of been asked to move from the table as regulars was giving him daggers he said . How unprofessional ☹️☹️that's the final visit we will be making
