The Hall and Gardens are stunning and the leisure facilities first rate. My only slight negative comment is that the furnishing of the rooms didn't quite match the venue; very basic.

Recently had a 4 night stay here while working in the area, and can safely say this is the nicest hotel I have stayed at while on business. The grounds are beautiful the public areas are grand and well presented. The staff all go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant.
On top of this the spa and gym facilities are excellent and all very new. I ate in both one of the bars and in the restaurant and both times the food was lovely and the service very attentive. Would highly recommend! Next time I shall be brining my other half.

The room was fine and while the hotel itself felt a bit dated overall it was well run. The restaurant served decent meals and from what my colleagues indicated above average cocktails. Note that this place seems to be a place for weddings and can get noisy throughout evenings depending on the wedding.

Nice little hotel. We stayed on a package deal for 2 nights. This included a bottle of wine and a sum of money towards dinner the first night. Room was clean and spacious we had been given a double twin when we were only expecting a double. Bath was lovely in the room. Staff went out of their way to help and the food was good gastropub type food. One downside is the cocktails which weren't the best in the world but they poured a good Guinness. Breakfast was a buffet style and hot. There were a number of events happening during our stay and unfortunately due to some guests a toilet was taken out of action. However staff appeared on site to rectify this promptly. Overall a nice hotel.

It's a nice place, a historic building with plenty of charm and character. The rooms are impressive and clean. There are several bar and eating options depending upon what you want. The formal restaurant is nice, but I found the menu a little limited. The food quality was very good. The service could have been a little better in all areas. Not that the staff weren't getting, but that there were not enough of them. Overall,I would recommend this hotel..

Went for a golf weekend. The course was great and offered a mixture of holes. The greens were in great conditon. Our room is what you come to expect from a 4*, comfy beds, lovely shower and plenty of space. The carvery was a treat. The hotel itself whilst still retaining it's past features outside has been reworked fantasticly inside to blend new with the old.

We spent the day at Dunston hall for my aunts birthday. We had free passes which gained us entry to the spa. The spa was lovely and provided everything we needed but it does feel a bit dated and we found the chlorine levels to be a bit high for us. After we went for afternoon tea which was top notch. Our server Mel was excellent and so thorough with her job. The food was delicious and plenty to go around. They have a huge selection of herbal teas which are unlimited as well as other hot and cold beverages. The setting was beautiful and overall we had an enjoyable day and will most certainly return again.

We stayed for one night in a double room, which was clean and comfortable. The room was also quiet, being at the far end of the hotel. We used the pool and Jacuzzi, though unfortunately the water was rather cold (we were told in advance that the temperature was lower than usual).

We ate in the restaurant and couldn't fault the food. The buffet breakfast was also good with a wide selection of food available.

We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Lovely surroundings, comfortable rooms, and access to a reasonably well-appointed gym, and swimming pool at no extra cost. Spa treatments are also available at an additional charge, though I can't comment on these as I didn't use them. Conveniently located close to a park and ride into Norwich.
I would've rated this higher, but I felt the food let it down. Breakfast buffet was very good (though an additional order of eggs benedict didn't live up to expectations. We didn't have lunch here, but our evening meals were bland and over-priced.
There are no other dining options within walking distance, so be prepared for a drive/taxi if you want to look elsewhere.
