Visited on a coach party for 4 days from 25th Sept 2017 hotel fine room lovely, service ln the dining room would you like to sit for more than 2 hours in the evening for your meal which when it eventually came was very good apart from this an enjoyable stay
The hotel is very dated in its decor and needs upgrading. This could be because we had a dog friendly room and they probably put dog owners in the worst rooms. The view was of a blank wall outside. The only mitigating factor was the dinner, which was good. The breakfast could be a lot better. They only offered sliced bread and tinned fruit for example.
I wouldn't want to stay here again

Very expensive for what you get, the shower was freezing or burning hot.... limited car parking, due to a wedding on site. Needs to be updated internally as the decor is srill from the 60s .......
Stayed here for a night despite being local. Was quite impressed, passed this hotel many times but never seen inside before now. Inside feels quite grand, perhaps slightly dated but that's in it's character. The food is amazing! I wasn't sure it was going to be good but it far surpassed our expectations! Worth a visit even if your not staying. The lady serving in the restaurant was very nice, professional and very good at what she does! Room was average, not a bad thing. If definitely recommend this hotel.

What a load of rubbish as ive worked in hotels most of my working life i found this one of the worst ones i have stay in The food was very bad The service was disorganised some of the waiting staff didnt know what they where doing waited long periods for meals food POOR The ENTERTAINMENT WAS Rubbish ive never seen anything like it i will not recommend it to anybody staff need training nobody smiles or says good MORNING
The meals can't be beaten on value. £7.50 for two courses on the special menu. Tasty food and efficient staff.
The restaurant has an elegant look and the staff are really friendly. The food tasted great although the pate to toast ratio was slightly off. Would still recommend.
