About Dyrham Park - National Trust

17th Century House, garden, deer park, shop & tea-room currently closed in line with national guidance on coronavirus.

Dyrham Park - National Trust Description

Situated close to Bath and Bristol and nestled in a scenic valley, Dyrham Park comprises 270 acres of ancient deer parkland, the stunning 17th-century former home of government administrator William Blathwayt and a formal garden.
Following the replacement of the leaking roof, we are now embarked on a £10 million transformation project to restore and revitalise the interior of the house to better share the 17th Century story. We will also be carrying out major improvements to infrastructure, including the car park, visitor reception, tea-room and shop.

The outdoors is home to a herd of wild fallow deer, the Old Lodge natural play areas, a family trail and viewpoint (parkland closed in January and February for conservation reasons). There is also a 21st Century garden with echoes of the past, a perry pear orchard, wildflower meadow and woodland terrace.
