A massive thank you to all of the past candidates and their kind words! 😊
“Since completing the level 5 course, I feel I am now much more confident to understand Specific Learning Difficulties, interpret dyslexia screening/assessments and to support colleagues (LSA’s) in schools.”
“My confidence has only grown because I have applied my new skills and seen the impact they have had on learners- this has informed me that I am competent in supporting learners with SpLD. There ha...s been no greater joy than to find a way to support learners that has a tangible impact on their ability to engage with learning and achieve success.”
“My tutor was fantastic. She always responded very promptly and provided feedback that was relevant and useful and helped me to develop my confidence and abilities. I felt very lucky to have such brilliant support throughout the course.”

'I feel such humiliation as a dyslexic teacher'
A worrying article that expresses how a secondary teacher opens up about coping with dyslexia in her day-to-day life – and the lack of support available.

A great example of how early diagnosis and support by teachers for those with dyslexia can be massively beneficial comes from Mollie King. 👩‍🏫🗣
The BBC Radio 1 presenter found speaking aloud 'scary and intimidating' in school. Thanks to her teacher spotting there was a problem, she was tested and diagnosed at 10 years old.
This early diagnosis and support allowed for her to become a radio presenter, an ambassador for the British Dyslexic Association and be able to give a spe...ech in parliament in front of a group who were looking at learning difficulties.🤓✅

Specialist teachers are required within schools more than ever.🗣🧠
Schools that fail to integrate specialist teachers for students that have Dyslexia are failing at educating children properly.
Today's article : 'School failings leave dyslexic pupils feeling ‘stupid, unvalued and guilty’. 😦
... It is quoted that: 'Specialist dyslexia teachers would be able to support learners, oversee and direct teaching and support provision’ 👩‍🏫
