I purchased a Byocycle Ibex just over 6 weeks ago & it's just been back for a service.
I'm very pleased with the bike, how easy it is to choose the assistance level you require & switch off completely if you'd rather pedal as a traditional bike.
The Shimano gears are good & it's easy to change up/down.
As far as dealing with e-Velo goes, that's been good also - very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Their showroom carries a comprehensive stock & the after-service has been great.
All in all, I'm VERY pleased.

After much debating decided to get the Byocycle FDXL. Wasnt sure as this is a foldable e bike but its described as a mountain bike and trail bike so I took the plunge. Its a relatively lightweight bike, nice and compact and easy to load into the back of my Rav 4. All good so far.
Have taken this bike through Rendelsham forest with all its tree roots, gravel roads and sand tracks and its fabulous. Then ventured to Tunstall forest Red Trail ride. Once you've mastered the power outlet from pedalling and controlling with the brakes this bike flies through this terrain. Even good on deepish sand if you keep the power on by pedalling all the time, no coasting. Mark was really helpful when I was trying to make this purchase and I must say its been one of the best buys ever.
Great little bike.

I had been looking online for info on electric bikes, so was really pleased when I came across E-Velo and that it was not very far from me.
They have a wide range of bikes and Mark was very helpful and patient in going through the Pro's and Con's of the different styles.
I liked the look of the Raleigh Modus Cross and after a test ride decided that was the one for me.
It looks a quality bike and has a lot of features, including disc brakes, hub gears, Bosch motor and a long range battery.
Easy to ride, even with the motor off and effortless with it on.
If you are thinking about an electric bike, I highly recommend that you make E-Velo your first stop.
