Wonderful to have such a fantastic place in Daventry. Caroline is the perfect host - always friendly, welcoming and a thoroughly lovely lady. The pub itself is cosy and beautifully decorated. Love the range of locally produced gins and vodkas (it's not just real ale!).

Unfortunately don't get to go in as much as we used to..and really miss it we'll done to you both for your award

The atmosphere is both warm and friendly. The perfect place to go for lovers of real ale and cider. Also Caroline will lay on food platers for special events and ocations. All in all a great place to meet and put the world to rights over a pint or two.

The Early Door is a real tiny treasure, good selection of artisan ales, plus other tipples included local; Ciders and Gin. Always a good atmosphere a very welcoming place to be. Oh!the designated driver isn't forgotten with a smashing selection of old-fashioned pops and other soft drinks.

Amazing place

Nice place small and cosy. Only fancy soft drinks though for me all I wanted was Diet Coke or diet something but the soft drinks were all sugar loaded and not cheap.

Mine and my wife's favourite place to go to with out the children in tow,great beer lovely atmosphere ,platters are lovely and tasty bar snacks ,be careful of the chilli scratching there hot...

Literally a stones throw from my house, excellent Micro Pub with local ales that you can even take home. Great atmosphere and good place to go with your mates and have a chat, without competing with a Jukebox.

If you want a great pint, friendly welcome and a traditional pub atmosphere then this is the best place in town. Be warned though there is no bland pop music blaring out, no nasty chemical beer, no pretentious bottled cider flavored with kiwi, mango and everest yeti sweat or some such garbage and no generic 'chain pub' rubbish. There is just a range of great beers and nice people chatting and having a laugh.

I love this place!! Caroline went more than the extra mile for us as one of our party has mobility issues and one of us has special dietary requirements so she made sure we were all catered for. The platters are gorgeous; with gorgeous breads, cold meats, cheeses etc. The sauvignon blanc and rose lemonade went down very well with the drinkers and nominated drivers! Such a chilled place to catch up with friends in a really welcoming atmosphere. Love it!!

Great place. Each time I go, there are different, local ales on show, though I have not tried the ciders yet. Because it is a small place, It gives a homely feel, and the barrels on show, instead of pumps, also gives a nostalgic feel back to old style Tap Houses. Love the place

Great bar, great atmosphere great owners. Looks really nice. I come from Milton Keynes and it was worth the trip. Get one open in MK I'd be there every week. Keep up the good work.

Fab place, we try to visit each time we visit our daughter, try the sharing platter very nice while trying the different ales, friendly staff and helpful xx

Caroline is passionate about her ales. She has created a safe place for nice people to come in and sup a quality ale. Love the atmosphere here. Caroline and Neil always make you feel welcome and the ladies can have a gin too. Daventry is very fortunate and I for one am very grateful.

An absolute gem of a micro pub. Excellent selection of very well kept ales, warm and cosy decor and a most welcoming, hard working landlord and lady. Me and my partner stumbled across the pub when looking for somewhere to go in Daventry for a nice pint. I thoroughly recommend Early Doors. We had a great night.

Always Friendly people, fantastic beer and perfect pork pie complimented by the chilli jam. Everything about the place is lovely shame i don't live closer

Absolutely amazing place, it's nice to have somewhere to go for a drink where you can have a nice, relaxing time and have a giggle and you're surrounded by good people. Caroline and Neil do a great job!
