‘Fallen Trees’ is the new album by singular talent and literal force of nature Lubomyr Melnyk – known as ‘the prophet of the piano’ due to his lifelong devotion to his instrument.
Critics have detected the influence of Ravi Shankar, Steve Reich and Philip Glass in his music. Melnyk himself cites his debt to the American composer Terry Riley.
After headlining Erased Tapes' 10th anniversary at Royal Festival Hall last year, Melnyk plays a special 70th birthday show, coinciding ...with the release of 'Fallen Trees', at EartH in January. With guests Peter Broderick, Hatis Noit, and Anne Müller.

Very excited about this spot opening. Dalston has been crying out for something like this for a while!

Ok so the interior has a way to go on restoration but the staff are super friendly, especially the very lovely Zack (with the great hair), who couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful at the Neil Tennant signing and Villagers gigs.

Friendly staff on the door and bar - but the five stars is really for playing Total Giovanni as everyone left the Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks gig.
