D-Day Competition
The 75th Anniversary of D-Day is the 6th of June we have teamed up with The Royal British Legion who have supplied us with two medals and some bag tags to raise some money for the charity.
The cost will be £5.00 and is open to all sections of the club, I will supply the twos balls and £2 from every player will go to the Poppy Appeal.

Lots of good scoring this weekend even though Saturday was blowing a gale, however it was nowhere near as bad as forecast.
No surprise that the winner of Division 3 was Guy Hall, because if there is only one person out on the course because of bad weather it will be Guy. Division 2 was won by Stuart Norris with 41pts and the Division 1 winner was Steve Reader with 38pts.

What can I say about East Horton!? We got married here in July and it was truly the wedding of our dreams. From the minute we drove up the beautiful driveway and met Vicky for the first time we knew this was where we wanted to celebrate our big day. Nothing was ever too much for Vicky; she seriously went above and beyond and did whatever she could to put us at ease through all the stages of the planning, right up to the day itself. All of our meetings were fun, relaxed and enjoyable and she would always make time to see us and fit in with when we could do. She has a real knack for wedding planning and put beautiful finishing touches to our room on the day. We trusted her 100% with everything and a huge part of why our day was so amazing was down to her. We weren't so lucky with the weather but it didn't matter - the wonderful staff looked after us so well and they did whatever they could to make sure the day ran smoothly, rain or shine. We even managed to still make it out on the buggies and got some amazing photos in the beautiful grounds. There aren't too many places you can get the whole building to yourselves exclusively for the day, and this meant that us, our families and our guests were at ease and comfortable all day. The food was also delicious and the head chef and his team are so flexible; catering to whatever we wanted for our meal. I wish we could go back and do it all again! I know wedding planning is stressful but everyone at East Horton did whatever they could to take some of that stress away. Thank you to Vicky especially but everyone at East Horton; it will always hold a special place in our hearts xxxxxxx

The staff at East Horton are so unbelievably good at what they do, the day ran so smoothly and our room looked absolutely stunning, all thanks to the hard work from all of the staff, but it's with extra special thanks to Vicky who was just amazing from start to finish! We held our Wedding at East Horton on 26th August 2017 and it exceeded all of our expectations. The venue and location are so pretty and we were lucky to be able to use the outside space and have some great photos taken up on the greens around the lake. The food was delicious and very generous portion sizes meant none of our guests went hungry and most couldn't eat the evening snacks (probably a first in our family) but what really makes this venue is the staff! From our first meeting with Alexia we were impressed with her professionalism and real passion for making sure your wedding is perfect and she really makes you feel like yours is the only wedding she is having to plan and that nothing is too much trouble! If we were to plan our wedding again we would definitely host it at East Horton, very highly recommended for all engaged couples
We had our wedding reception here the first weekend in May 2018. It was absolutely amazing I cannot recommend this venue enough! I want to especially thank Vicky for making the wedding planning process at East Horton so easy and enjoyable! She even helped me set up in the morning! The food was perfect and all the guests really enjoyed it. Even with our massive guest list the staff were still kind and attentive. The photos on the day came out beautifully as the golf course has some lovely places as a backdrop (bluebells and the lake especially)! I wish I could go back and do it all again, a truly magical day at the most perfect venue.
We had our wedding reception here last weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Right from when we first viewed the venue we loved it, and the kindness and helpfulness of the wedding coordinators was amazing. It made it an easy choice for us - this was our venue! We have to give a huge shout out to our personal wedding coordinator Victoria! She is an absolute diamond. Nothing was too much trouble for her (even my millions of emails and questions) she was always full of smiles and so welcoming. She certainly made the planning so much easier and fun for us.
On the actual day itself Victoria arrived early to the venue to help set up and ensure it was exactly how we dreamed it, and my goodness when I walked in and saw it I was so overwhelmed I almost cried. It was absolutely beautiful.
The food served was delicious, both wedding breakfast and evening buffet, and most importantly there were plenty of staff on hand to help serve making sure no one had a long wait at the bar and everything was cleared away quickly.
We cannot recommend this venue and it’s wonderful wedding team enough!

We had our wedding on 7 January and It truly was the most magical day. From our first visit to view the venue we were hooked - not only is the venue utterly gorgeous, but the staff at East Horton are superb. We met Alexia on that first visit and she sold the venue to us with her knowledge and kindness. The cost of the day was also excellent value compared to other venues. We actually only looked at one other venue the day before we went to East Horton, and were left in no doubt that it was the place for us. Throughout the lead up to our wedding, nothing was too much trouble for Alexia, she answered every query without hesitation and tailored everything to suit our needs, in particular taking great care to ensure that all the food was gluten free which meant our granddaughter could eat everything without fear of becoming unwell due to a severe gluten intolerance. On the day itself, everything ran smoothly again thanks to the staff. The food was absolutely delicious and all the staff - the washer uppers, bar staff, waiting staff kitchen staff - are all to be commended. We highly recommend that you go and meet Alexia and her team if you are getting married, you really won't be disappointed!
We had our wedding here on the 20th May 2017, the venue itself is absolutely stunning and I cannot thank Vicky enough for making our day run so smoothly. Vicky was really fantastic, we were able to have as many meetings before hand as we needed and nothing was ever too much bother (we had a lot of dietary requirements and Vicky was extremely accommodating and provided us with a huge selection of options). Vicky was so lovely and friendly and always made us feel calm (we never had to worry about anything!). The day itself was absolutely perfect and went so smoothly thanks to Vicky. We had our Daughters wedding here in April and had a day to treasure forever.... Our wedding co ordination Alexia was fantastic, nothing was ever any trouble for her, she helped us plan every detail from start to finish and was always at hand with any queries we had leading up to the big day....the beautiful surrounding was just perfect, the staff were great and the food was just amazing.... Would totally recommend East Horton to anyone thinking about getting married as everything was perfect from start to end.... Thank you Alexia and all the staff involved in our special day.... She even helped my husband {eek} set up in the morning and channeled everything we had hoped the day would look like, she honestly was just super!
The outdoor area allowed us to have drinks and nibbles before the feast and dancing began, which was lovely and they even allowed us to have sparklers!!!!

We got married at East Horton on Saturday 17th June 2017 and it was absolutely amazing. We can't recommend East Horton enough, we'd do it again in a heartbeat. From the minute we phoned up to book an appointment to view it the customer service was exceptional, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We fell in love with the venue straight away and we love the fact the venue is yours exclusively for the whole day as that's something we were looking for. The biggest shout out has to go our Wedding coordinator Vicky, she is the loveliest person we've ever met and is outstanding at her job. She genuinely really cares about you and your Wedding and nothing is too much trouble for her, we must have asked her 100's of questions but she honestly didn't mind. She made the whole process a dream and we loved seeing her at all our meetings. To be honest I'm quite sad I can't go there for meetings now to see her. I trusted her with every inch of our Wedding and she didn't let us down, she was fantastic and works so hard. She decorated our venue on the day with all our Wedding knick knacks and I cried when I saw the room as she had captured it exactly how we wanted it to look. The venue is stunning, the grounds are stunning, the staff are so lovely and attentive and the food was gorgeous. Just everything about our day was perfect, there were so many members of staff there on the day looking after our every need and Vicky was there all day which meant so much to us. All our guests have said how amazing East Horton was and we can't stress enough how fabulous it is. The day ran like a dream, they all work so hard at East Horton and it was the best day of our lives. To everyone at East Horton especially Vicky thank you so much for everything, you made our dreams come true and East Horton will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We got married at East Horton on 19 Nov 2017 and had the most amazing day. Taura is fabulous (as are they all)- professional, nothing is too much trouble, so friendly. They made us feel like ours was the only wedding they were planning and they genuinely care about your day. We trusted Taura 110% Taura made lots of great suggestions and one of the things we liked was the flexibility (no problem having chicken nuggets and chips for the kids) on the day the room looked amazing, the food was fantastic and the team professionally and calmly dealt with the fact we were 30 minutes late from the church. I can’t thank the team enough and now it is over we will genuinely miss Taura xx

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at East Horton Golf Club at the beginning of September and it was definitely everything we wanted and more. After looking at around 15 wedding venues, we knew after our first meeting with Vicky that this was the right place for us. The exclusive use of the building for the day meant that our wedding guests felt comfortable and that we were able to decorate every part of the venue as we imagined it. The chef and all the catering team were so helpful through out, we tailored our menu to completely how we wanted it to be and all of our guests complimented on how great the food was. All the staff at the venue were amazing but in particular we can not thank Vicky enough for her help! She was so friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble.. even on the day when I was having problems with my dress she was with me and my matron of honour trying to fix it. Vicky went above and beyond to help make our wedding day perfect and completely achieved that for us. Thank you soo much to Vicky and everyone at East Horton for our perfect day xx

We met Victoria back in April 2015 to discuss wedding packages and check out the venue as a whole... Soon as we walked in we knew it was the place to get married. And the stunning scenery for the golf course makes it even better.
All through the lead up the big day and on the big day it's self Victoria was fantastic, she was quick to get back to me with last minute details and to help with any questions I may have had.
We had an amazing day and loved every minute of it... If only we could do it all over again!
I got married 21/7/18 and what an amazing day it was from start to Finish alexia was my wedding planner and from booking my wedding over two years ago she was so helpful from the first meeting I had with her. I didn't have to worry about my room being set up didn't have to worry about nothing and going up to the room my god it looked amazing. I couldn't recommend her and her team enough they helped in every way they could. And the food was amazing hot and tasted good. Thank you to all you girls again. I would recommend you over and over. And thank you for making my day so special and amazing. We didnt want it to end xxx
I first came across east Horton nearly two years ago, it was the last resort for us otherwise I dont know where we would of got married!! As soon as we set foot inside we knew it was the place for us, we could imagine getting married there with all our loved ones around us. So what can I say east Horton out did themselves for our wedding day! Both me and my new ‘husband’ � would like to say a big massive thank you to Victoria, Taura and Shelby for there hard work before the wedding with all our meetings and emails we had, no question was too big. When it came to the day we had Taura with the help of Shelby who’s in the process of learning the ropes which you wouldn’t of believed she’s just starting out she was fab, on the day we didn’t even need to think what was going to be next we were guided effortlessly throughout the day with no worries at all. It was very relaxing for us both especially for josh being on the others side as a groom instead of running the wedding. Both me and josh had such a fabulous day as well as our guests! They food was absolutely outstanding on the day and had many comments from guests saying how lovely it was. We are both very glad to say we got married here, it will always have a special place I heart for the rest of our lives. Once again thank you soo much!!!

Having attended a couple of evening wedding parties at East Horton and being impressed we decided to look at it for our own wedding celebrations on Nov 11th. From our very first meeting with Victoria we knew we had made the right decision. With Martin & I having quite clear ideas of what we wanted Victoria was so happy to accommodate. This included ideas of us moving round for each course of our meal to fireworks in the evening. The day went absolutely perfectly from start to finish. Victoria, Ellie and all of the team couldn't have done anymore. They were even dancing behind the bar. Compliments must also go to the chef & kitchen team for the amazing food. Greenwood course is coming along nicely. They have killed off a lot of the rough giving you a chance to find your ball from wayward drives. Fairways are looking nice and getting some run now the ground has firmed up. Greens are running well best they've been for a while. All on all both courses are looking good so probably best value for money club in Hampshire.
From our 1st visit to East Horton, Matt and I were so excited about the idea of getting married at this venue. Victoria was so friendly and let us run away with our ideas about how we wanted our big day. Her enthusiasm was infectious! Nothing was a problem, just an opportunity!
Our ideas such as having long tables instead of round tables, a family style dinner and a dog walking down the aisle were all met with openness and smiles. This not only took a weight off our shoulders but also made us even more giddy for our wedding.
Our big day was in October 2017 and it was more than we could have wished for, everything came together in a brilliant way and we are so so happy that we had the most amazing day. Friends and family are still telling us how much of a great time they had.
Future couples that have the privilege of getting married at East Horton are very lucky. :D

She was so friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble.. even on the day when I was having problems with my dress she was with me and my matron of honour trying to fix it. Vicky went above and beyond to help make our wedding day perfect and completely achieved that for us. Thank you soo much to Vicky and everyone at East Horton for our perfect day xx
Massive thank you to Victoria and her team at East Horton for making our wedding day run so smooth... We met Victoria back in April 2015 to discuss wedding packages and check out the venue as a whole... Soon as we walked in we knew it was the place to get married. And the stunning scenery for the golf course makes it even better.
All through the lead up the big day and on the big day it's self Victoria was fantastic, she was quick to get back to me with last minute details and to help with any questions I may have had.
We had an amazing day and loved every minute of it... If only we could do it all over again!
I got married 21/7/18 and what an amazing day it was from start to Finish alexia was my wedding planner and from booking my wedding over two years ago she was so helpful from the first meeting I had with her. I didn't have to worry about my room being set up didn't have to worry about nothing and going up to the room my god it looked amazing. I couldn't recommend her and her team enough they helped in every way they could. And the food was amazing hot and tasted good. Thank you to all you girls again. I would recommend you over and over. And thank you for making my day so special and amazing. We didnt want it to end xxx
I first came across east Horton nearly two years ago, it was the last resort for us otherwise I dont know where we would of got married!! As soon as we set foot inside we knew it was the place for us, we could imagine getting married there with all our loved ones around us. So what can I say east Horton out did themselves for our wedding day! Both me and my new ‘husband’ � would like to say a big massive thank you to Victoria, Taura and Shelby for there hard work before the wedding with all our meetings and emails we had, no question was too big. When it came to the day we had Taura with the help of Shelby who’s in the process of learning the ropes which you wouldn’t of believed she’s just starting out she was fab, on the day we didn’t even need to think what was going to be next we were guided effortlessly throughout the day with no worries at all. It was very relaxing for us both especially for josh being on the others side as a groom instead of running the wedding. Both me and josh had such a fabulous day as well as our guests! They food was absolutely outstanding on the day and had many comments from guests saying how lovely it was. We are both very glad to say we got married here, it will always have a special place I heart for the rest of our lives. Once again thank you soo much!!!

Having attended a couple of evening wedding parties at East Horton and being impressed we decided to look at it for our own wedding celebrations on Nov 11th. From our very first meeting with Victoria we knew we had made the right decision. With Martin & I having quite clear ideas of what we wanted Victoria was so happy to accommodate. This included ideas of us moving round for each course of our meal to fireworks in the evening. The day went absolutely perfectly from start to finish. Victoria, Ellie and all of the team couldn't have done anymore. They were even dancing behind the bar. Compliments must also go to the chef & kitchen team for the amazing food. Greenwood course is coming along nicely. They have killed off a lot of the rough giving you a chance to find your ball from wayward drives. Fairways are looking nice and getting some run now the ground has firmed up. Greens are running well best they've been for a while. All on all both courses are looking good so probably best value for money club in Hampshire.
From our 1st visit to East Horton, Matt and I were so excited about the idea of getting married at this venue. Victoria was so friendly and let us run away with our ideas about how we wanted our big day. Her enthusiasm was infectious! Nothing was a problem, just an opportunity!
Our ideas such as having long tables instead of round tables, a family style dinner and a dog walking down the aisle were all met with openness and smiles. This not only took a weight off our shoulders but also made us even more giddy for our wedding.
Our big day was in October 2017 and it was more than we could have wished for, everything came together in a brilliant way and we are so so happy that we had the most amazing day. Friends and family are still telling us how much of a great time they had.
Future couples that have the privilege of getting married at East Horton are very lucky. :D
