East Lambrook Manor Gardens Description
A trip to Somerset isn't complete without a visit to East Lambrook. The internationally famous Grade 1 listed garden at East Lambrook Manor is the creation of the celebrated plantswoman the late Margery Fish. The garden is one of England's best-loved and a place of pilgrimage for visitors from all over the world. Her natural gift for combining old-fashioned and contemporary plants in a relaxed and informal manner has created a unique garden of great charm. The garden is divided into a number of different areas including the terraces and the silver garden. It is renowned as the premier example of the English cottage garden style and has noted collections of snowdrops, hellebores and hardy geraniums.
The nursery specialises in cottage garden plants and interesting and unusual perennials including an extensive range of hardy geraniums.
Light refreshments are available in the Malthouse and many local pubs serve excellent lunches.
