The Lord-Lieutenant represents the Sovereign in the County of East Sussex, which includes the administrative areas of East Sussex County Council, Brighton and Hove City Council as well as the three District Councils of Lewes, Wealden and Rother and the Boroughs of Eastbourne and Hastings. The Lord-Lieutenant, his Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputies are keen to help all sectors of the East Sussex community wherever and whenever they can. If you are in business in East Sussex the Lieutenancy can help you in a number of ways. There are many programmes, here are just a few: Lieutenancy in the Community, the Charity Mentoring Scheme, celebrating and encouraging volunteering, supporting youth organisations and the youth employment initiative, support for Regular and Reserve Forces together with Cadets. The Clerk to the Lieutenancy of East Sussex is Ms Becky Shaw, who is the Chief Executive of East Sussex County Council.
