The amazing Yum! Food Festival starts today, and runs Saturday/Sunday too. Hop on a bus to Hull and it's just a 5 minute walk from the Interchange to the food stalls in Queens Gardens. Then once you've eaten your fill, relax on a guided tour around the city on Hull Explorer Bus Tours - the perfect day! From 2 September there are minor changes to the times of some Hull buses, to help give them a little extra time to get through busy traffic. Good news for Willerby residents - from early September we'll be sending more buses around the Parkway/Well Lane/Main Street loop, so it'll be easier for people to get between these streets and Willerby Square/Hull during the day.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our 'Becoming a Bus Driver' event on Saturday, we met lots of lovely people, and we'll soon see some of you in our training school starting your new career :-) If you couldn't make it on Saturday, don't worry, we're holding another event this Tuesday evening, drop in to see us any time between 6pm and 9pm at the Royal Hotel on Ferensway in Hull. Whether you're ready to apply for a job, or just want to find out more about being a driver, we'll be happy to have a chat with you and answer all your questions.

It's Driffield Show tomorrow! Did you know you can get discounted entry into the show if you show your EYMS bus ticket at the gate? There's loads to see at the showground, from sheep shearing to showjumping, quad bike stunt riding to flyball, and lots more! Plus, come and find us at Stand X380 to have a look around our vintage bus :-)

We've had so many messages from people interested in becoming a bus driver, that we've decided to run two special events to allow anyone who's considering it to come along, find out more, ask questions and chat to our staff. You can even have a go at using a ticket machine and sit in the cab of a bus! If you think bus driving may be the career for you, drop in to one of the events to find out more. Please share to anyone you think may be interested. (Note: keep in mind that to start bus driving training, you must have held a car driving licence for at least 2 years).
