If you were wondering what all the works on the seafront are for, take a look below. Please make sure you keep dogs and children away from the affected beaches.
Beach Management works are due to start, The first discharge is due on the high tide at 0:39 on Friday 26th. In total 9 loads will be delivered by the dredger over the next week (weather dependant). Please keep clear of the beaches that are cordoned off.
Stay away from the edge and bottom of the cliffs at Beachy Head. A large section has become unstable and could fall at anytime. The area on top of the cliff has been cordoned off.

Eastbourne seafront is lovely and clean. My wife and l love the pier and it's wide open spaces with the little tea shop and the glass making studio. The flower beds are so colourful and well maintained. We will certainly come back here for another holiday. The Claremont hotel where we are staying is very clean and smart and situated just across the road from the pier.
A beautiful seafront - gracious buildings - a wonderful promenade - a bandstand too. It's also very green, especially at the Western end with trees, shady zig-zags down to the beach and a wide gravel walk. At this end too there are lawns and gardens with good views out to sea.
3 of us have just had the best weekend in Eastbourne . The pier has been rebuilt since our last visit and we were very impressed . Also a star of a lady driver, on the open top bus , so patient with the slow speed ,that we have to live with !
All made so enjoyable because of the amazing weather 👍
1st time there for us and thoroughly enjoyed it. My feet ached from all the walking as we parked miles away, but at keast parking wasn't an issue and the porta loos set up in the fiekd too were clean and topped up with loo paper.
Great commentating throughout so you knew exactly what the planes were and where they were coming from, down to who were flying them and their back ground. Sad to miss the parachutes but safety is a must so was glad really they were cancelled due to the wind conditions. We will be back next year.
