Had afternoon tea from 2.30 onwards today, service was excellent, wished I asked the name of the waitress, she was pleasant and professional, nothing was too much trouble, mojito was wonderful, thank you.

Great visit yesterday, always enjoy visiting this place. Shame that Visa weren’t as professional as the bar staff, but a nearby cashpoint saved the day.

Great place. Had lunch which was very nice and a bottle of bubbly to wash it down with. Owner of the bar was lovely. We tried to get into a restaurant for dinner and was fully booked but she stepped in and got us a table without us asking her. Was fantastic of her. The Ebony Champagne bar is definitely a place to visit

Yesterday was mums birthday and we had cocktails and a bottle of champagne , one of the staff brought over some chocolates and strawberries to accompany our drinks . They accepted a couple of requests for music . She had a lovely birthday and the two boys serving could not have been any more hospitable . They were constantly busy , if not serving , they were forever polishing glasses . I will definitely recommend and I will certainly return . A great night especially as it was spur of the moment after having our nails done .

Fabulous place to go - staff are super friendly - pink fizz was perfect - can't remember the name of it sorry - hic - very dog friendly both inside and in the outer area - had a fab time - will visit again very soon

Called in on a Monday afternoon, and surprised how many people were in. We had the hot spicy sharer which was excellent. Few drinks to follow and icing on the cake was the Motown music in the background.

The food and drinks menu are amazing and the manager, Jhan, goes out of her way to make everyone welcome and comfortable. I've been to this bar a few times now... previous visits have left me being ignored at the bar, and I've had to wait a long time to be served - to the point where a gentleman saw I was being overlooked so many times, he complained on my behalf. On Saturday night I got served quite quickly, but I had been determined to be seen and served.

Drinks were lovely - no complaints there. As for pricing, yes it's on the expensive side, but it's to be expected - if you want cheap drinks, go to Wetherspoons next door - it's got a nasty atmosphere to go with the cheapness.

I really like the outer area now... it's cosy and has a really good friendly vibe. The seating was far more comfortable, and although it was really busy, my eagle-eyed friends and I managed to get good seats quite quickly.

Door staff were courteous and friendly, bar staff; not so much - wouldn't have harmed them to crack a smile.



I'll definitely go again... It's one of my favourite cocktail places in Durham �
