absolutely amazing place, the ice-cream and waffles are so lush, and the coffee is defiantly our favourite in sherborne, we had the hazelnut ice-cream witch tastes just like the inside of a kinda bueno!!! so yum! with waffles and hazel nut sauce, the lovely lady said she may even put it on the menu :) defiantly recommend xx

What can I say, it is just exceptionally good gelato. A must visit every time I visit Sherborne, rain or shine.

Visited with my 3 children, husband and parents. Really enjoyed the visit and the gelato was delicious. Pricing was good and the portion size was spot on. Will visit again when we're in the area and highly recommend.

Took the kids here for an ice cream today. I'd say good value, it was a big scoop of quality ice cream for £3 and you can sit in to eat it. Hot chocolate was lovely too, not too sweet. Nice touch with the blackboard and chalks for kids, meant we could finish our drinks

Really lovely staff letting my children try a little before they choose their ice cream. I went purely for the extensive free from menu. The waffles and ice cream were really lovely and looking forward to our next visit.

Gorgeous gelato, lovely clean environment and have always found staff helpful. Use it as a nice treat for kids. Some say pricey but I don't think so when you take it all into account-you pay for what you get and this is excellent quality gelato and bearing in mind the whole experience of sitting down in a clean, relaxed setting and being able to watch it being made before your eyes etc. They seem to be really responsive to customers and offer waffles, cakes, coffees, milkshakes and dairy free vegan stuff! I love it there and will take friends and family there at every opportunity! Well done Eco Gelato!

Came in here yesterday with my sister and her noisy offspring. The lady who served us was lovely and excellent with our two monsters, and the ice creams were delicious! I particularly rate a two-scoop combo of raspberry sorbetta and coconut ice cream. The icing on the cake (or should that be hundreds and thousands on the dessert) is that it's a dog-friendly place so your pooch can come too. I didn't have my dog with me but it means there's even more reason for a repeat visit. :)

Been here twice now, had the tropical waffles the first time and the amaretti and almond the second time, both vegan. These are without a doubt the best vegan waffles I have ever had. The customer service was also amazing and the staff are so friendly. Will definitely be back next time I am in the West Country.

Great to have somewhere to go in the evenings in Sherborne if you are not an alcohol drinker! One of the best coffees I've ever had (and I am VERY fussy) and the OH loves the gelato. I'd agree with the other people who have said pricing structure is a bit odd but it is cost and margin dependent. Looking forward to the waffles!

Have been twice and the ice-cream is delicious, but the portions sizes varied MASSIVELY between visits and £3 for a single scoop seems very expensive. £2.50 a scoop followed by £4 for 2, £5 for 3 would seem a fairer price. The coffee was the best cup I've had in Sherborne by far, worth visiting for alone. The space is a bit atmosphereless at the moment, it used to be an office and still feels like one, but I'm sure this will change over time. I'm also sure that it's an authentic experience, but I'm not sure if charging £3 a scoop to eat out of a cardboard tub with a plastic spoon feels like much of a treat, I'm sure it lacks authenticity but a few toppings and glass dish wouldn't go amiss. Not sure this is what they're going for, but this is what would keep us coming back. So only three stars due to cost and portion sizes, but I suspect once these things even out it'll become a solid four or five stars. Also, should mention that the staff were charming too.

I had a tub, with three scoops of different flavours, for £5.......a little expensive, but reasonable considering it's all handmade on the premises!!

The taste & quality is superb.....absolutely delicious �and plenty of choice.

The seating area was clean and well laid out, if a little clinical & soulless. Could do with brightening up a little to make it more cheerful, but I'm assuming that will be dealt with in time.

Staff......

They seemed to be having issues with serving sizes, and some scoops were vastly different to others. Considering the price, this issue really needs to be addressed!

Friendliness.......now, I'm aware that these are youngsters, and it's quite possibly their first job.....but I felt they could have been a little more enthusiastic in chatting with the customers and promoting the product. I went back to the counter when I had finished eating, just to give a little feedback on my enjoyment of the Gelato, but despite there being no one waiting to be served, they seemed very uneasy about engaging in any friendly chat.......! Hopefully this will improve with experience, as it really does make a difference to ones visit �

Overall.....an excellent addition to Sherborne! Hope they continue to do well �

I enjoyed Ecco-Gelato, and found it to be 3.5 stars for me, as all times that I visited, I enjoyed the company I was in very very much, but the wait for food was badly timed for those having scoops to those having waffles a warmer dish all times the scoops where done first the waffles last, so enjoying yourselves "eating together" didn't really occur even when 4 sets of waffles were ordered they came out 2-2, I just thought the idea of this place was to enjoy your time eating together, not to watch each other eat, oh and one other thing, if you put a student discount on at Ecco-Geleto, is it not best to honour it during your times stated rather than dishonour your agreement, yes I was there the sign clear as day but a massive over charge by you, one you decided not to stand by even though you instigated the discount for students during certain times. Oh and one other thing I can't bare having a brush swept around and near food whilst people eat, that's a no no in my book I understand that you have to clean but a bristled brush classed generally for outside work chucking goodness knows what into the air, I personally don't find appealing.

We visited earlier today and all three of us came to the same opinion. No real atmosphere, staff silent and fairly uninterested, no real personality once you are past the door mat.

My daughter's ice cream crazy but the paper cup and plastic spoon need work, what a waste of single use plastic. Ice cream was average and the £20 bill was a lot for not a lot. Sorry but we are going back to the place in Yeovil. To top it all off my girl has been sick all evening. �
