Volkswagen and Seat confirm seatbelt recall!!!
Drivers warned against sitting three people in the back of some models until rectification work has been completed Volkswagen and Seat confirm the seatbelt recall.
... Latest generation VW Polo and SEAT Arona and Ibiza are all affected. Volkswagen has issued a warning to owners over concerns about seatbelts in the rear of at least three of its cars.
The latest Volkswagen Polo, SEAT Arona and Ibiza are to be recalled over a safety issue that can see the left-rear passenger’s seatbelt unbuckle itself when five people are seated in the car.
Owners of affected models will start receiving letters in the next few weeks informing them to make an appointment with their dealer.
The recall involves fitting a new, redesigned belt lock fixture.
Both companies have advised owners not to use the middle seat until the car has been fitted with the new locking mechanism.
A Volkswagen spokesperson told Autocar: “As an immediate action, we will inform customers and advise not to have passengers use the middle rear seat of current Polo models until the cars have been equipped with the redesigned belt lock.
The fault was identified during a road test by Finnish motoring magazine, Tekniikan Maailma.
It found that the left rear buckle in the back could release when the car was travelling with three in the back and there were sudden changes of direction.
SEAT’s director of communications, Christian Stein said: “Based on the analysis made at our factory we have identified the seat belt issue that Tekniikan Maailma has found in the tests.

New update! - great news! 👌 Sport Display Calibration is here! Our solution is for BMW Fxx that have sport gauges activated in central display module with HP/NM. Now it is possible to recalibrate that default limits to suit the new tuned software values, that way customers will be able to see that their car was "really" tuned by checking the new values on sport gauges. Richard was very knowledgeable and gave fantastic advice on what was the best for me, the car and reliability not just POWER! Saying that 40bhp more has made a huge difference, she was getting 210bhp but now she is getting 250bhp and up 12% increase in mpg.



I can't recommend Eco Power enough, very professional and friendly and the cherry on the top was Nick's wife offering me a Kit Kat while I wait.... Doesn't get much better than that!!!

Had a custom remap, DPF and EGR delete, unfortunately the car smoked a bit under hard acceleration, Rich put another map on the car which stopped the smoke but didn't have time to do it on the rolling road, so going back soon for dyno run remap, looking forward to good results!
