Needed a car for our weeks holiday and like to look round the more local hire firms than the big high Street names, looked at Eden's reviews on Google and took a chance, I was not disappointed booked a car from Penrith station on saturday at 10:30 train was ontime so was Eden met in train drop off car park with a new 2017 car, fantastic week in the lakes and a well priced rental car to bargain. Would use Eden again without a thought, just a side note I do not work or have any affiliation with Eden just a happy customer.

I can highly recommend this place for renting a car. I found it by chance, because I was arriving on Sunday and all the agencies in Penrith itself are either completely closed on Sunday or closed for the day as I arrived at 17:30. So I had to look for alternatives. Anyways, as I arrived by train they delivered the car to Penrith station and picked it up from there - at no extra charge. My train was delayed, but I called them and it was not a problem. The car itself was new and clean. It came with a nav mount for an iPhone, which I found thoughtful althouth not of use for me personally. I had also asked for automatic transmission which they were able to provide - also at no extra charge. I found their rate to be competetive, expecially considering the services they provided.

I made a booking for next day and was still able to get a car. My train was delayed twice and I ended up arriving 1hr30m after the schedule time and way out of normal office hour but Eden Garage still deliver the car as promised.

Upon receiving the car I realised that they weren't able to charge my credit card the day before. So they had no hold on me financially at that point. My words that the payments will be sorted out the next day was enough and off I go. They had all the rights and reasons for not letting me have the car, and I would have to shell out big money for taxi...

The car was 2016 model and clean as you'd expected. The rental rate was very affordable. I'd say their delivering the car to station and allowing us to drop the car off at Penrith station at no additional cost is 5-star service.

If you ever visit the Lake District, do talk to them, get the car delivered to Penrith and drop it off from there. Simple as that.
