Basic accomodations with friendly staff. There is a maze of stairs inside and you'll hear your neighbors walking on them. Otherwise, it's quiet enough and it's a good value.
Nice and clean, friendly staff, had a budget room, perfectly adequate for a nights stay. The breakfast was just perfect, the sausages! Local and handmade, just perfect 😊
Great food, great staff
A very pleasant hotel conveniently located for my work. Comfortable beds. Good sized rooms and very quiet at night. The car park was very handy given how tricky it is to park in the locality and the breakfast was delicious.
They don't serve dinner, but the nearby England's Glory pub has a range of good food at keen prices and the hotel manager can recommend a dozen or so good restaurants if you fancy venturing towards the dock area. (Tank is a good place to go for burgers and a great range of local ales)
Pros: Nice little hotel. Staff are friendly and proactively helpful. Breakfast was good. WiFi is strong. We stayed at the top of the hotel and had good signal. Housekeeping was excellent including the lovely touch of laying out the children's pyjamas on the bed. The gardens at the back are well maintained and peaceful. Cons: No lifts and quite a lot of stairs to climb. Car park is small and parking is tight.

Good location for walking into the centre. Helpful staff with good recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Free parking was a bonus.
Very good location as you can walk into town easily from there. The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable about what to do and where to go. He kindly let us keep the car in the car park even after we checked out so we could explore the area. The rooms were great and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was also lovely!
Lovely weekend stay upgraded to a superior room free of charge. Staff lovely. Great location. Room spacious and had everything in it i could need. Breakfast was fab. Will definitely stay again.
