Who would have thought 30 years ago that we would be where we are today?… Going from providing a home away from home accommodation for up to 5 families (who had a child seriously ill in Birmingham Children’s Hospital) to what it is now – ‘A holistic bereavement support network for parents, children & families,’ supporting over 500 families & 3,000 individuals every year! We are so proud of what Edward’s Trust has achieved over the years & all the families we have been able to help during their grief journey, but we couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you! Join us on 29th Jan to see how you can get involved with our 30th Anniversary Celebrations. We’d love to see you all there, comment below to let us know if you are planning to attend 💙💕💙 #FlyingTheKite

Great news!
We are registered with ‘Easyfundraising’ it’s a great site where you can help ET raise funds simply by doing your everyday online shopping! Over 3,500 large retailers are included, such as Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, eBay, Boden and M&S.
Every time you shop, we receive a small donation to say ‘thank you!’ It’s completely free and over £20M has been raised for causes just like us so far.
... We want to raise as much as possible so please sign up and make a difference, by visiting: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes /edwards-trust/

Do you shop in any of the Tesco stores around Birmingham? Remember that ET have been chosen to be a part of their ‘Bags of Help’ Grant scheme. You have until 28th February to place a token into the Edward’s Trust box in order to vote for our ‘Dads and Lads Bereavement Service’. The project that gets the most votes wins £4,000 which would make a huge different to our ‘Dads and Lads’ who need support through their grief. And he’s off…
Our amazing supporter, Michael Creighton aka ‘The Bearded Bimbler’, will be running an Ultra Marathon throughout 2019 covering every UK National Park, self-supported and carrying all his own gear including his tent! WOW, what a trooper! We’re exhausted even thinking about it. The money raised will go to ET and the Peak District Mountain Rescue Organisation.
He kicked off this amazing challenge on 5th Jan starting at the New Forest… That’s 1 down, 10 more to g...o! What an inspiration! If you would like to support Mike’s fundraising efforts and pop him some words of encouragement, then head on over to his Just Giving page; http://ow.ly/GdZS50kdAG3 or text SGVL94 plus your donation to 70070.
Thank you so much for choosing to support ET and helping us to continue to support our bereaved families. A huge good luck to our ‘Bearded Bimbler’ for your next 10 crazy runs!

HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY EDWARD’S TRUST… 2019 is an extra special year for Edward’s Trust; it is the year where we officially turn 30! Wow! 30 years of supporting families with a child with a life threatening illness (as we did in the earlier years) and families facing loss and surviving bereavement, (as we do today!). We are thrilled that we have been able to fly Edward’s kite high and proud for all these years, and still do so today to ensure that bereaved families across th...e West Midlands have access to support during their toughest times. 💙💕💙

Meet Young Ambassadors; Annabelle & Hattie who dropped into ET (after their Daddy brought home an ET Hoodie!) to hear more about what we do to support bereaved families. They were really excited to pay us a visit and will be taking some ideas back to their school in order to help us further and raise awareness of our work! Thank you girls! Could your school help ET too?
Ask the charity coordinators at your school to see if they would like a visit/assembly from us and you cou...ld help to play a big part in making a difference to Bereaved families across the West Midlands!

We are so pleased to announce that ET have been chosen to be a part of Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’ Grant scheme from the 1st January to the 28th February. During these dates if you shop in any Birmingham Tesco store, you will be able to place a 'Bags for Help' token into the Edward’s Trust box in order to vote for our ‘Dads and Lads Bereavement Service’.
The project that gets the most votes will win £4,000. This could make a huge amount of difference to our ‘Dads and Lads’ who generally find talking about their feelings and reaching out for help very tricky.

Volunteering for years for Edward's Trust has been very enjoyable, rewarding and fulfilling. It's an excellent local charity and one that supports families at a time of their grief.

User

They have done such amazing job of supporting both myself and my little girl when we lost our little boy in 2010; don't know where we would be without them

User

They do an amazing job. I wished they had been around 37 years ago when our passed away leaving a very young family. Keep up the good work

Just saw my old counsellor Chris on Children in Need, she's so amazing and the charity in total is such a life changing thing. It changed my life completely after my Father passed away,

Chris was there for me- and after eventually getting me to talk I was able to relieve so much of the burden I was left with. It's been over 5years since my last session but I attended a memorial service a few years ago and I was welcomed back so greatly. It's so amazing how great it's been and still continues to be! Such a great organisation that willing garantee your life to change for the good!
