Went on Steak Night. Food was excellent as was the service.

Went here for my sister's birthday and it didn't disappoint. We love Mediterranean food, and the menu here was amazing. Our meals were delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were okay and checked if we needed anything. The happy hour on cocktails was an added bonus! Will definitely be coming again

We thoroughly enjoyed the Tapas menu last. Our waiter and waitress were very helpful, pleasant and friendly. The food was excellent as usual and we've never had bad food or a bad experience in all the time we have been going there. Well done everyone, we will definitely be seeing you again soon

We have always had a good experience at Ego's, but this weekend it all went drastically wrong, very poor service. We tried to celebrate my wives birthday with our daughters and grandchildren. The poor service meant that the children were restless and played up. We were hoping that the staff would bring out my wives birthday cake need the end of our meal so that we could sing happy birthday, this did not happen and we ended up taking it home with out any birthday wishes. Should have stayed at home and had a BBQ.



Well we went back today and I am happy to say the food was great and the service was excellent our poor experience was just a glitch and Ego is back on form, well done.

We ate at Ego Bramhall on 1st January and had a great dining experience. The ambience was good, service exemplary and the food was amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Our previous visit was equally as enjoyable.

Visited on "Steak night" - superbly cooked food, attentive staff, nice atmosphere. Would definitely like to eat here again.

The staff are very friendly and provide an excellent service and the Sunday roast is superb with the best potatoes we have tasted

Ego has pulled its socks up. It was busy and a good atmosphere. We had a party of 8 and the waiting on staff were excellent.

The food was hot and freshly prepared - all good quality and nothing left on any plates!!

The house wine was not great - this was on the Monday night offer. But the option to upgrade is a good idea - and I did this.

With so much competition in the village, Ego needed to improve and I am pleased to see they appear to have done so.

Went last night for our friends birthday .the service was excellent the young lady that served us was very polite and the food was very good we all had a different menu and we enjoyed it .We will be back very soon .

We went on a Monday night. It was the £20 deal for a starter, main and a bottle of wine per person. A really good choice was available. Our waiter (sorry I didn't get his name), was a sound lad and really helpful. Highly recommended.

Great place for food. But and I’m truly sorry for the but ! As usual a good restaurant with many chefs and from what I could see 3 waiters and another on bar, we asked for a jug of water to go along with our drinks and food but alas we had to ask 3 times before it arrived, over the space of an hour. I still enjoyed the excellent food and left a tip. This is more of a moan about the owners rather than the staff. Please place as much importance on front of house as the kitchen staff as these are your first point of contact for you customers 👍

Very dissapointing !! Mothers day visit, was bad from start to finish. We were a party of 5 adults & table booked for 4:00. Arrived but table wasnt ready, fair enough , asked to wait at the bar. Ordered drinks & stood at bar, no seating & was in the way of waiting on staff as constantly apologised to coming past with drinks & high chairs. Seated after about 10 mins, orders taken after another 15 mins or so, waited an age for starters, in fact the whole meal was 2 & 1/2 hours !! I mean i dont like rushing but we waited a long time in between courses. My husband was asked to move twice to allow a childs pram past him, very bad table arrangements. Balloons popping left right & centre making us jump, not relaxing at all. Mother in laws main was over done, father in laws steak was tiny. Had to ask twice for jug of water, asked for the bill, there was 2 cocktails from previous customers on it, they were removed, sat for 10 mins with bill finishing off drinks. Was not given mothers day gift of a small plant others were given. Having eaten @ Ego in stockton heath many times with great service i was appalled at our outing. I will not be returning.

Service was slow and food mediocre. I have had better here so may of been a one off. I wouldn't go again but if you haven't been it's worth a try.

It's tedious having to have a huuuuuuge discussion about everything I order when I eat out. Despite being polite and clear I have still been 'poisoned' by eateries.



It's a communication issue. Between me and the waiter/waitress and the computer or ordering system and the chef and whoever delivers the food to the table.



Accuracy is vital.



If it was a nut allergy they'd be calling an ambulance.



Today out for lunch. I had the gluten-free version of the menu in the fancy restaurant. I ordered, pointing out that I was ordering from the gluten-free menu.



Sizzling prawns arrived complete with toasted bread. I asked to check that the bread was gluten-free. ...muttering and swift removal of the items...



Bread = full of gluten

Jeez...



Apologies then 'blaming' the order on the 'system' that didn't specify.



If I'd eaten the bread, assuming it WAS gluten-free as I'd specifically mentioned it several times, I'd have had a severe reaction including some I won't mention here...



Then I was offered the normal dessert menu and had to ask for the gluten-free one (after all the previous discussions about the bread error) and then an apology for no biscuits for the latte, which I couldn't have had because they have gluten in!!



One water was really charming and apologetic but gluten-free bread and tortillas are widely available to add to our meals and if you have a gluten-free menu you need to know about coeliac and communicate clearly with the computer and each other!

Words can not describe how awful the whole experience was for me and my family at ego. Our food was cold so we sent it back only to have kitchen staff shouting sarcastic comments at us through the pass, when approaching the manager to notify her of this she didn't even acknowledge us and said she was busy despite the restaurant being empty. It was absolutely shocking and none of my family will ever go back.

We visited Ego last night for our wedding anniversary after seeing a recommendation online, but I really wish we hadn’t!

The food was okay, but not great. The real let down was the service. We weren’t offered any starters/ appetisers, we had to ask more than once for a drink etc. When our plates were cleared we were asked if we wanted a dessert menu- we said yes and then sat there for 15 minutes before giving up. I even caught the eye of a staff member who looked straight at me and then walked away. My husband got up to pay and was stood at the front counter for 10 minutes with staff watching him before anyone came over. There were plenty of staff available in the restaurant, just none who seemed to understand the concept of basic customer service!

I was so, so disappointed, especially given this was a special occasion for us. We somewhat redeemed the night by going across the road to Yardbird for dessert, where the service and atmosphere was far superior! I just wish we’d gone somewhere else for our meal- £50 for okay food and terrible service isn’t adequate in my opinion.

Waited an hour and a half for a raw egg and burnt fish

So disappointed, our family have been using this place for a few years now. We went in today for mothers day, service very slow but appreciated it was a busy day however, whilst eating our desserts the waitress was sent over by the Manager to tell us the next people are due in! In other words hurry up! So the bill arrived not requested by us so obviously no coffees allowed, we had been waiting a good 10 minutes to pay no sign of anyone wanting our payment, so my mother in law went to use the disabled toilets and our waitress was overheard saying I bet they are going to sit there as long as possible! Omg how dreadful �

Rubbish will never visit again full of horrible beer flys, Greek salad was rank and the staff completely unproffessional.. total RIP off for 3 people at £112 waste of space that place... get go to Gusto in Cheadle much nicer!

Expensive overpriced pathetically small portioned badly cooked food.

Sat down at 7 pm main courses arrived at 8.40.

Actually felt sorry for the manager who took the flak well and offered some compensation.

Much rather have had a decent meal .
