I actually checked the VISA twice to believe it.

Tourist visa - followed instructions on website exactly and went in person. Two day turn around, no problems.

I can not believe some of the negative reviews. I have been going to Egypt every year for the past 10 years , the tourist visa service is unbeleivably efficient. I do my visa by post as I live in Scotland. I have had my visa returned in 3 days, most times if I post my application on the Monday I have it back by the Friday. The few times I have had to call them they answer the phone quickly, they are very helpful and friendly. I have only good things to say about the service.

I am ashmed that this is my country's consulate. When inviting a friend to come over to visit the country and booked everything and then it takes more than 5 weeks until now and without response. Whyyy 5 weeks? Its not getting a visa to heaven, even europen countries are quicker then citizens asks why we don't have tourist. Simple answer, because the country have the most stupid system ever and it will forever be poor and will not improve. No one answers the phone complete ignorance just a disgrace.

I have received the answer from embassy in london my visa application has been refused.
If I have English passport very easy .
I play tourist visa
But the truth is I want to see my family after the absence of more than 13 years

Print the Application online fill it out Have 2 passport pictures ready. They cost £20 each. . Go in hand it in, they'll give you a ticket and come back and collect it with in two days.
Hand in application between 9:30-12
And pick up passports and visas between 2:30-5.
Literally the most simple and easiest thing ever. Highly recommended handing in application in person

Taking ages for a tourist visa approval from Egypt, has been over 6 weeks since Mrs applied for visa.. since then no news from Egypt. Very bizarre that a simple visa takes 2 months to process. We are travelling in August so hope visa is sorted soon
Still in the dark ages with regards to customer service. Phones lines are dead.

Very rude staff !! I requested some information about applying for visas and they just copy & past from the websit. I read what on the website before contacting them. Lazy !! I had to email again and ask. Waste of time indeed!

I went there 12.45 to renew my passport. Some one said they took the document till 12.30 . I said to him I didn't know please open I took one day off he said is not our problems. Please just five minutes he said is your mistakes is not our misteks come tomorrow. Take another day off .really he did not talk nicely .talk very bad .I wish not go there any more even it's my country consulate and they wrote don't use the phone and all people inside(working people only ) used the phone .they didn't respect us as we are from same country. I hope to change as we are human.
