Nicholls is a dynamic and growing family firm established over 50 years ago. We are proud to now be one of the leading names in transport and logistics in the south east England.
Nicholls Transport is part of the Nicholls Group, which also includes Sittingbourne Retail Park, Nicholls Holdings and North Sittingbourne Developments.

Our modern, well maintained and fuel efficient fleet comprises of over 50 vehicles and 150 trailers. All of our current tractor units are Euro 5 and equipped with AdBlue fuelled SCR systems to reduce Co2 emissions. We are ISO 14001 certified.
Superbly situated for easy access to the cross- channel ferry ports and UK road links- meaning any time, day or night, ther'll be a nicholls vehicle delivering goods in northerns France, Belgium, Netherlands, or anywhere in the UK. In addition to this, our Birmingham, Derbyshire and Leicestershire depots are strategically sited for further UK connections- ensuring next day delivery to and from mainland Europe.

Team Work Makes The Dreamwork…. We have our drivers who are the face of the company who do an excellent job but without teamwork across the whole company we would not be where we are today. One of the most important parts of the Nicholls team is our own workshop team. Managed by Don MacLeod , who has been with us since 1984. Don is an old school mechanic and where possible he will repair rather than replace faulty items. Don and his team keep the fleet of 101 trucks and 260... trailers on the road. Don’s team are based in our purpose built 6 bay workshop fitted out with all the latest equipment to keep the fleet on the move. Our oldest truck currently on the fleet is an 08 plate with the majority being newer vehicles. Over a week our vehicles exceed well over 250,000 miles so it is important that Don and his team are keeping our trucks in a 1st class condition. Don and our team with our oldest and newest vehicle currently on the fleet We are always looking for HGV mechanics and apprentices to join our team. And so the growth journey continues with Nicholls Transport. After moving to our new 20 acre logistics hub two years ago, today we have added our 100th vehicle to our fleet of vehicles on the road.Paul Nicholls Managing Director said “This is an exciting time in terms of growth for the company, we have already expanded our operational base in Sittingbourne Kent and now our 100th vehicle added to vehicles already on the road. I am also pleased that Alex Nicholls has now becom...e Operations Director and he is the third generation of the family involved in running the business. We have further strengthened our senior management team appointing Rob Gearing as Head of Commercial and Business Development.” The 100th vehicle adds to the fleet of 265 tautliner trailers currently in use, which includes our walking floor fleet of trailers.And our journey continues... supported by our excellent teams in traffic, bookings and finance departments.
