WHAT IS REMAPPING ?
REMAPPING is the modification of the ECU also know as "Engine Computer".

When manufacturers develop an ECU they create a universal "Computer" to fit the climates and pressures of the globe.



Why don't manufactures develop an ECU to its prime operation condition?

1. For manufactures it is not economically viable to develop multiple ECU`s for each climate.

2. Manufactures can offer the same spec car with more BHP, TORQUE or better MPG therefore charge a higher purchase price.

3. Manufacturers take poor mechanical maintance into consideration.



How is my vehicle remapped?

Our technicians link the vehicles ECU or "Computer" with a remapping tool via the OBD port which is then "read" and sent to our custom files office and optimized to your specification.

RPM is a measurement of how fast the engine is turning in revolutions per minute (RPM). The gauge's INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ON DASHBOARD IS SHOWN AS -- RPM as a multiple of 1, 000. For instance, when the engine spins 3, 000 RPM, the ENGINE IS PUSHING AT 3000 REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE.

HOW DOES IT IMPROVE ?
manufacturers "de-tune" the engine by setting the software on the ECU to default before sending the vehicle out THIS IS DONE SO THE CAR WILL RUN IN ANY CLIMATE. This is done due to the manufacturers selling their cars all over the world.



This means that the software settings on the ECU must take into account different climates, laws & restrictions and varying quality of fuels. Vehicle remapping is basically the modification /replacement of the manufacturers default software on a vehicles ECU.
