This is such a fun, informal but fully tutored monthly event and the painting changes each month.
Price includes a welcome glass of Sangria and all the materials to create your masterpiece to take home. Whether you are a complete beginner or budding Picasso this is the event for you.

Due to expansion and growth we are looking to add another Chef de Partie to our brigade.
You will be part of the "cooking team" and will be responsible for making sure that our fresh food is prepared properly every day, stored properly and that we are always compliant with the local Environmental Health standards.
You will be supported in your role by the Head Chef, Sous Chef and the rest of our brigade (a current team of 7, you will make it a kitchen team of 8!)

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years work experience from professional kitchens, ideally with a fresh food focus, of course, knowledge of Spanish cuisine and flavours would really be ideal but we are happy to teach, train and develop a chef who is interested in learning about Spanish Gastronomy.
We are a small, friendly team, our focus is always on the customer and we are looking to meet someone who shares our values as well as our passion for Fresh, homecooked food.
We are looking to start someone by the 1st of May (before if possible) and we will conduct a 3 stage interview process.

El Borracho de Oro is an independent, fresh, quality focused Spanish Restaurant in the heart of leafy Edgbaston in central Birmingham.
Our Restaurant has space for upto 100 seated customers, a further 20 can sit in our bar area, a further 40 can sit outside on our terrace during the summer season.
We commit our food and drink style to authentic, traditional, quality Spanish, we are not trying to reinvent Spanish Cuisine, instead we are trying to represent the very best Spain ...has to offer from our home made Alioli to our extensive Wine list, brandies, Sherries and Cured Meats and Cheeses.
Due to expansion and growth we are looking to make a new role within our Front of House team for a "Restaurant Service Manager"
This role will be specifically focused on the smooth running of Restaurant Table service, working with the support of our General Manager and Owner.
Our New Services Manager will help to support the existing Front of house team to deliver a consistently excellent, personable service. Helping the customer make the best choices from our menus and exceed their experience expectations.
You will gain responsibility for Rotaring staff, training service staff, dealing with customer feedback, experiences, setting up for events, helping us to manage deposits, reservations and maximising key day organisation. You will also be a key member of staff to help with the communication between the Kitchen and the Front of House.
We speak a wide variety of languages amongst the team here and we are open minded and excited about meeting our new team member, wherever they may be from, however the right to work in the UK is essential as is excellent spoken English.
This is a role which requires hospitality experience from a similar background, someone with proveable customer service skills, clear communication skills, a genuine warmth of personality and a genuine care for how our guests are treated.

We had such a wonderful Friday yesterday with early summer sunshine, a full terrace and our new menu flying out the door. We have arranged for sunshine again today (we have that kinda power!!!!) and we have lots of comfy tables on our terrace. We went for dinner last Thursday for my birthday. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Meals delicious. We had fried squid, mussels, hake, chicken skewers and scallops to share as our starters followed by as our mains Paella - Delicious!!! Bottles of wine recommended by staff and certainly a good choice.

As it was my birthday an Agua de Valencia cocktail of gin, vodka,prosecco and orange juice as well as a few shots of it for our guests was given to us - what a lovely gesture and it went down a treat.

We certainly will go again.

Really glad I found this place! Very authentic food. We had a mix of ten tapas. The scallops with black pudding were cooked to perfection , and the pork cheeks were deliciously tender along with the mash. For deserts we had the churros and an almond panacotta. Every dish was full of flavour and the staff were very attentive . The only thing I'd say was the service was a little slow which wouldn't of mattered except we were on a two hour parking limit . Will definitely be visiting again.

I was recommended to eat at El Borracho by some friends a couple of months ago and I can say that this is now one of my all time favourite places to eat. Delicious food that’s fresh & packed full of flavour. We’ve been visiting the restaurant every month over the last couple of months and I’ve never had a bad meal. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is brilliant! Their sangria is also to die for! Really recommend visiting Emma & her fabulous team :)

A lovely place, authentic Spanish with friendly, helpful staff. The food was fabulous, as were the desserts. The pork cheeks melted in your mouth, the scallops were cooked perfectly and the mussels were delicious. All 6 of us had a brilliant time and will definitely go back.

Went here for my 33rd Birthday yesterday 26th Nov 2017 at about 1pm.we ordered a vegetarian tapas meal and my sister's 6 other separate dishes...

To say that the service was slow and tapas brought out in dribs and drags is an understatement. We were NOT told we would be served literally 2 dishes at a time (4 people at the table) and be kept waiting.We sat waiting for more tapas to be brought out so that there was substantial food to eat...when 20 mins passed and I asked waiter where the rest of the food was his response was "sorry we cannot bring out all at once"..bearing it mind it was a birthday meal.i then saw the manager 5ft 7 guy wearing light blue shirt, beard and asked him if he could help.i went onto explain I had visited the restaurant today for the first time (on my Birthday)and we were being made to wait ridiculously for tapas to be brought out and losing our appetite. I also advised the tapas brought out (patas bravas)was ice cold. The manager instantly had his back up and was rude and uncooperative..his response was "this is how our restaurant works..we've done nothing wrong ,you are only person complaining "...The sheer disrespect to me as a diner and the failure on his part to even listen to what I was saying was shocking!!!!He couldn't care less that the food brought out was cold or the fact that it was a birthday treat...there was no professionalism in handling my complaint...

I continued to advise that I have eaten tapas in several restaurants and with all due respect they have had no problem in bringing all food out all at once!!furthermore any other restaurant manager would be empathetic and replace the cold food immediately and on the house!!...

AFTER my heated discussion with the manager he agreed to provide a warm dish of patas bravas insisting there was no other problem!!I was appalled at how he was unwilling to take my constructive critism on board and failed to turn it into a pleasant experience for us.He was plain right rude and arrogant.This was definatley the FIRST and LAST time we will be dining here. Definatley not worth the disrespect and forced partition of your money where it isn't well spent!!!!Stay clear of you don't want a special occasion ruined.
