It's everyday paella day in El Coto, come and try one of our home made paella! This one is paella de pescado y mariscos, rice cooked with fish and seafood, absolutely yummy 😋 !
We are in too 👍💚🌍
Here are some happy chaps enjoying some tapas before the Ed Sheeran concert. #fullybookedthreedaysintherow#workinghard
Due to high demand, in relation to the Ed Sheeran concert, unfortunately we will not be offering the 3tapas for £10.95 offer after 3pm. #fullybooked#saintjamespark#edsheeran
We’ll have it too please....
Yesterday last home game was a success!🍾☀️️😎 We would like to thank our regular Newcastle Fan customers for coming to El Coto on Home match days! Looking forward to seeing you all again in August, if not before #HowayTheLads
Great way to start off the Bank Holiday weekend with our Sevillian, strawberry infused gin "Puerto de indias"
Roll on Friday! Why not have some tapas to start the week end off? 🍷🍾
The sun is out ☀️️who fancy some tapas and a nice glass of home made sangria in our secret garden? 😎🍎🍷🍹 #spanishfeeling

Without doubt the best tapas restaurant in the north east of England. The lamb dish we had was unbelievable, very rich and just melted in the mouth. Excellent service as usual.
We love tapas and have been many times .....with different friends and family
We Love this place always fantastic food and the staff are amazing.
Try the pork it’s to die for.
Visited during Newcastle Restaurant Week 2018. Three tapas for £10. There were four of us so a lot of food! Good portion sizes and we enjoyed all dishes but particularly the potatoes with honey and mustard sauce and the crisp calamari. Staff were lovely. Will definite be back!
This was a spur of the moment visit after Thursday evening shopping. What a find! A warm smiley welcome and a very tasty tapas menu washed down with a cold refreshing beer.
The decor was authentic, clean and comfortable and the prices were really reasonable. Quality of food excellent and portion sizes good.
We will definitely be back.🍷❤
Out in the town for our wedding anniversary and were passing El Coto, I had heard some good reports so we went in. It was quiet, the waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered the 3 tapas for £11.00 each and a bottle of Tempranillo. The food was lovely, as was the wine. We thought they were very generous portions. We had a lovely afternoon, we will be back soon. The chicken on a skewer and the lamb meatballs were our favourites.
Lovely meal at El Coto yesterday , we met up with friends from London. Excellent food , great service , lovely helpful staff . It was lovely seeing Charlotte again !
Loved it!! Great menu, friendly and attentive staff, San Miguel and very pleasant wine. Looking forward to next visit already!!
Hands down my favourite restaurant in the city! Great value, great staff and great food!
Had a lovely meal today. Picked the set menu and it was really tasty and very filling. Would recommend.
Great venue, friendly staff and the food is amazing ! I go there often ; it’s a fantastic place for a wonderful tapas!
Great tapas meal had the Valentine's set menu we had 3 starters 9 main meal tapas and cheesecake dessert throughly enjoyed all dishes. Friendly fast service very attentive staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place ,great food it pays to book a table because it gets very busy ,staff are very friendly and helpful, they do single Tapas or a menu every for 2-3 people which is great if you haven't tried Tapas before.
Good place for a get together with family or friends .
Gorgeous food; attentive service. Olives with lemon, garlic and chilli my fave as well as King prawns with garlic and chilli. Newly discovered the delights of dates wrapped in bacon with an almond in the centre.
God this place was good. Went on a total whim but the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly & attentive, and it was really good value. If I had to recommend one dish it would be the berenjenas gratinadas 🍆👌🏼
Fantastic afternoon meal. Food was amazing will def be back
Excellent food and and service first time there will definitely be going back
Amazing food great service and atmosphere definitely recommend
Maybe I am just too picky but went here for a meal with two other people. Some of the food was delicious (the calamari and the grilled chicken )but some (meatballs and pan fried pork and peppers) was mediocre to say the least. The bread service was a total rip off as the baguette had been sliced so thin the butter went straight through. Come on El Coto bread is cheap enough and I want some I can dip into the sauces and enjoy. This is one area you shouldn’t scrimp on.
