User

Wonderful food, great beer according to my husband and really helpful staff - we hadn't booked and they managed to fit us in on a Saturday night (Just half hour wait). Will definitely go back as we live local and hadn't visited since moving to the area 7 months ago.

User

Went yesterday for the first time with partner and 2 children (3 and 1) made to feel very welcome. Accomodated our request to have the childrens mains with our starters etc so we had half a chance of eating our own meals! Due for expansion soon which will help with the current limited space. Only feedback I have is they had NO child friendly plates, cups or cutlery. Granted not a soft play centre but something appropirate for under 3s (to avoid breakages) will be much appriecated by visiting parents. Hope to be back soon!

User

Well cared for exterior and garden. Welcoming and pleasant staff. Dogs allowed and in the main bar. Good selection of food, we chose the special spring menu, good choices and had all 3 courses! All courses very well cooked nicely presented and very reasonably priced as was the wine. Would definitely recommend a visit

User

We held our wedding lunch at the Elizabethan, fourteen people in all. Gorgeous food and very good service. Charming staff and all plates of food arrived within minutes of each other. Well done

User

We had a brilliant night the food as always was superb good atmosphere and all the staff were excellent. All topped up by a very clever table magic act. Still trying to work out how it was done. Do yourself a favour go and have a meal there you won't be disappointed. PS happy new year

User

Took my granddad for lunch... He said it was the best steak he has had for years and the lemon parfait and pistachio crumbs and spiced plum is epic Will definitely recommend to anybody

User

The most gorgeous dinners at amazing prices that won't make you feel you have to work shifts or have three jobs or ask for a bank loan. Staff are brilliant and will always be helpful. This is a wonderful place for an evening with two for that special dinner or for group of friends wishing to forget a hard day's work or just life's problems. You won't be disappointed.

User

My family & I came for a meal on Tuesday 28th July, it was a birthday surprise from my dad, the food & service was amazing. The end of the evening was rounded off by the staff bringing me a home made birthday cake out singing happy birthday, thank you very much, we will defiantly be back again soon.

User

Just been for a celebratory meal after winning gold at the south west tourism awards this week. Have not been here before and I have to say it's one of the best meals we have had in a while. For a Sunday night in Feb they were busy, great atmosphere, staff working hard, a great service. Food looked and tasted delicious.

Lovely selection of Gins.

Will be recommending my guests come and eat here. Can't wait to come back when the extension is finished. Great job guys!

User

Have just come home after lunch at the Elizabethan Inn. What can I say? The food was incredible, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, but also efficient and the ambiance is great. Having a sweet tooth, I must mention the desserts, they are heavenly!! Congratulations to you all, you have everything right!!

User

Had a marvelous time. Food was fantastic (I had the Jambalaya - a Cajun would not turn up their nose at it) and the service was excellent. About the only problem is that the tables are packed a little too closely for my tastes (full disclosure: Americans have a bit larger "personal space" than other cultures). This is a must-visit if you find yourself in the area. Your stomach will thank you, although your liver might not.

User

Food was amazing, catered for my diary intolerance too. Good service from friendly staff. The place is beautifully decorated . the beer garden a pleasure to sit in. All round my favourite place to dine!

User

Ate here for my partners birthday on Monday, amazing food, very lovely polite staff, had my children with us too and they catered for them (ages 4 and 6 both wanting steak) will definitely be visiting again.

User

Arrived after finding this place on Trip Advisor. Not a disappointment. Most warmly welcomed from Jo at the bar. Recommended a fantastic wine (Black Shiraz) and the food was 1st class. Will most definitely be visiting again when in Devon. Thank you.

User

Our first visit to the Elizabeth for our wedding anniversary and didn't disappoint. Lobster bisque starter for my husband and chicken parfait for me, both delicious. Liver and onions was lovely and his steak was excellent. It's nice to get cocktails at a good standard and all in I look forward to returning again soon.

User

Loved the oldie world interior where we sat for lunch.

Food good service fast.

Prices mid range end.

There was a lot of noise from the men drinking at the bar, and it did get busy, as it was Sunday lunchtime.

In the week it's a lot quieter, so will stick to mid week.

Ice creams wonderful.

User

Had lunch here - had sandwiches which were nothing to shout home about - OK we have had better and a lot worse - for the price it was disappointing. The cooked food being served however looked lovely - next time we'll have cooked. The place is very well presented and the staff very welcoming and helpful

User

Went for late pm Carvery lunch (5pm)

OK ....... potatoes were hard..... cooked at 1pm

I think there was Brocolli with the veg plate but was so shrivelled could've been anything....

Carrots nice and parsnips..... but you cant really spoil them unless you're my wife.....

as b4 OK

User

Very nice interior.

Portions of good size but food was very average. We ordered a Thai curry, no heat at all and served without sticky rice. A chilli, again no depth of flavour or and heat at all.

If we had more time and the kids weren't tired would have sent both dishes back.

Would not go there again.
