Elk + Forrest Description
From humble beginnings in Park City, Utah hand sewing Walmart fabric for my fellow lifties to a shiny sewing machine at the foot of Mont Blanc, Chamonix – Elk & Forrest was born out of a love of crafts and a need to fund the ski-bum life.
Elk & Forrest comes out of hibernation in the winter months to bring you the sickest winter apparel I can muster up. Starting out with rad neckies and totally keeping the chalet door open for future projects and products.
Hand sourcing all the fabrics myself means that I can create designs I am completely in love with, using materials that I think are awesome. I love being right in there with the kids on the hill, seeing what they’re wearing, knowing how annoying it is to be cold and wet when the pow is light and fluffy and trying to combine what people want with what people need. If I’m not sewing or knitting I’m there, on the mountain, getting my turns in and enjoying every freaking minute of it.
Elk & Forrest launched online, winter 12 /13, to a great response. I parceled up packages throughout the winter months and sent them all over the world. Winter 13 /14 is set to be a great season not only for Elk & Forrest but for everyone else who is lucky enough to be ripping it up on the mountain.
