Ellen'S Cosmetics Description
In our busy little shop we have a huge range of cut price cosmetics, perfumes and aftershaves. We have a big range of very low priced cosmetics, regular lines which are not tested on animals. We stock big brand cosmetics at great prices (which are not seconds or damaged in any way) and we obtain our fantastic prices by constantly searching for the best deals for our customers. Our range of perfumes and aftershaves includes Tabu, Pagan, Coty l’aimant and Chique which are amongst our old favourites and best sellers. We also stock perfumes that compare to the latest best-selling designer labels.
For example; how much is a bottle of Coco Mademoiselle for 55ml? We have a fantastic perfume called Miss Tutu which is only £3. 99! If you are lucky enough to have the real thing why not keep it for evenings out and special occasions and wear our cheaper bottle for everyday use and see how much longer your expensive bottle lasts. Personally, I think why spend £30-£50 more when you can pay £3-£5 and spend the rest on something else (handbags and shoes spring to mind! ).
At Ellens Cosmetics all our staff pride themselves on the great, unbeatable, friendly customer service and our regular customers will tell you about the warm welcome you receive when you visit our shop. For over 10 years we have been located within The Grainger Market in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. For our new customers, the Grainger Market is a Grade 1 listed building opened in 1935 and is Newcastle’s largest traditional covered market.
Previously we have raised over £1072 for “Maggies Cancer” charity (based at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle Upon Tyne) and we are very proud of the generosity of our staff and customers who help us to support them.
In March 2013 we began raising money for "Clic Seargent" which is a charity that supports children dealing with cancer, based at the RVI Newcastle. Currently we have raised £1996 and with the continued help and support of our staff and customers, we hope to raise a lot more!
We are also the proud winners of “The Chronicle Cup” trophy. Sponsored by the Evening Chronicle this was created for the stallholder who had the best Christmas display and was awarded each year from 1931 until 1938 when it was locked away for safe keeping. The cup was rediscovered in November 2005 in the vault at the Co-Op Bank in Blandford Square and the tradition of awarding it was re-established by Newcastle City Council at that time.
In 2013 we are launching our online shop and we hope that customers will buy their favourites online as well as coming to see us in Newcastle.

Visited when I was home in December , great shop with amazing friendly staff , so helpful, only wish I could visit often. Stocked up with perfume and some make up FANTASTIC!!!!! Only wish international shopping was available.I feel not only homesick for Newcastle but also for this friendly gem of a shop .

I love this shop. It's warm and welcoming, staff are friendly and helpful. Great selection of cosmetics and perfumes, including named brands e.g. Max Factor, at reasonable prices. I am a regular customer and have shopped here for 5 years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend this shop.

Fabulous selection of quality make up and accessories at good prices. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Came on for Halloween make up and left with everything we needed because of good selection. Girls even chatted at length with my little girl about her Halloween party and choice of costume! Definitely recommend to others.
Been twice now to get my Eye brows threaded after another place messed them up. The lady does exactly what you want and takes her time instead of the normal take your money then get u in n out of the seat as quick as possible... brilliant customer service and all the girls are friendly and polite.. The owner makes you feel valued and is very helpful! I will definitely be going here from now on. And they are the cheapest place in town too!
Aftershaves are really cheap and all smell lovely and all the staff are really pleasent and lovely they make you feel welcome
