Ellis Brigham - Covent Garden

I cannot recommend Ellis Brigham highly enough. I visited the Covent Garden store to purchase a backpack and was so impressed with the helpful, knowledgeable, supportive service I received that I am leaving my first ever public review. I was particularly impressed with the advice not to buy a bag from their store and to go elsewhere because we couldn’t find one which perfectly matched my needs. As a result, I returned today to buy a pair of hiking boots and was again met with exemplary knowledge and support, and was again advised to go elsewhere to try a wider variety of boots on when the ones in store did not meet my needs. I ended up going to their store in St Pauls to try a recommendation on and was delighted to find a perfect fit. Because of the store’s clear focus on customer satisfaction, I will return any time I am looking for outdoor gear, and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

I had a booking for footwear fitting: staff very helpful but they didn't perform the gait analysis, which for me was kind of the point of booking a specialist fitting...This was extremely disappointing, because my partner had a fitting three months ago and he got the gait analysis, and I have seen a review from 3 weeks ago that also mentions it.
The shoes I purchased seem good, unless of course they turn out to be completely inappropriate for me because I didn't get the gait analysis to ascertain what type of shoes I really needed.
To be fair, this put me off making an appointment and coming specifically to this shop in the future: unfortunately it didn't deliver on what promised about specialist fitting, one could find the same service somewhere else. Sad.

My husband and I both went for new hiking boots. Ellis Brigham have a great selection and real experts on hand to discuss your needs and the types of boots to suit you. The mock rocky hill is good to test toe space, and my husband used the gait analysis technology to help with his choice of boot. The staff were excellent (Sorry not to have recalled their names, but the former climber and the girl wearing glasses were both fantastic). Would highly recommend. We each came out with a pair of Meindl boots, can't wait to clock up some miles in them!

Actually went next door to North Face , but they didn't have what I was looking for.

To tell you the truth I only looked at the name tag of Lyam, but today I went to Ellis Brigham in Covent Garden and had almost everyone in the shop give me great advice. If they didn’t have something, they were honest and recommended where to get it, which made me trust their opinions even more that they are there to really help you.
They were knowledgeable about so many areas from mountaineering, ice climbing, skiing, hiking and camping and they really know their stuff they are interested about!
Definitely coming back to buy my gear from them! Thank you!

Great place to buy quality sporting equipment and clothing. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and always ready to help.

Bought a new pair of walking boots for my fiancée.
We were served by a very knowledgeable member of the staff (Alex?) who was able to help us find exactly what we needed.
He clearly has a lot of experience in the mountains and was helpful in allowing us to stay in budget.

I’ll be returning to update my own boots soon.
