me and my husband had our after do here on the 22nd and omg it was amazing everythin was amazing every1 that worked that night was amzing and we want 2 thanku so much dor making our day perfect me and husband will be comin bk every year for our anniversary thanku again

We had our wedding reception here on the 10th. Had a fantastic time. Along our whole planning process and conversations we were made to feel relaxed and like nothing was too much trouble. From allowing us time to set up to helping us pack away wedding paraphernalia all staff could not have been more accommodating. Had a couple of extra ordinary dietary requirements and they were meet to the great pleasure of our guests. Food delicious from start to end. They even made us a cheese and pineapple hedgehog lol. Service with a smile. We wouldnŌĆÖt change anything. Thankyou guys your hard work was definitely appreciated. Based on our experience will definitely recommend and use again for other special occasions Ōś║’ĖÅ

We had our wedding reception here on Friday 20th ! Absolute fantastic venue staff are amazing very helpful and friendly . Food was to die for ! We would highly recommend here to anyone!! Couldn't have asked for a better place to use to celebrate our special day ! Thank you so so so so much xxx

We had a party for 46 in the Barn at the Elm Tree on Saturday to celebrate two big birthdays and our wedding anniversary. It didn't start out too well as no-one seemed to know about the arrangements we had made for guests to be served with drinks when they arrived and folks started buying their own drinks first.. However once this glitch was sorted we had a lovely evening. Linda, who took over, kept everything running smoothly, the buffet supper was plentiful and delicious and our gluten free guest was well catered for. The desserts which we provided were laid out for us. prosecco corks were popped at the right time for toasts and the coffee and tea appeared at the right time. We highly recommend it .

We had a fabulous roast from the carvery - I lost count of all the amazing vegetables ’┐Į Sat in the garden in glorious sunshine - perfect Sunday afternoon ’┐Į

The Sunday Carvery was the best one I have EVER had! Everything cooked beautifully, loads of everything! I can thoroughly recommend! ’┐Į

Thank you to the Elm Tree for a great 60s New Years Eve party. It was a fantastic night filled with lots of fun and laughter.

Buffet food was excellent and Staff were lovely, polite and welcoming. Thank you Elm Tree xx

Have now been to The Elm Tree for the second time in a month for a meal, what fabulous food and service, would thoroughly recommend!!!

Everyone was really friendly, dog was aloud in while we ate and drank in the bar area, lovely food 10/10 big rack of ribs, and amazing roast dinner lovely lamb, homemade Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, crispy parsnips and lots of varied veg. We live in Fareham so was on a day out wish I lived closer so could go again this Sunday! Staff very helpful and attentive 5*

Brilliant NYE party at the Elm Tree, great atmosphere, lovely food, hot & cold buffet was nice. Landlord and landlady were great fun joining in with the festivities as did the other staff x good night x

Always have family meals at the Elm tree , great food and top service every time without fail ! , always a great atmosphere polite and friendly staff with some great entertainment , and a nice place to have a cheeky couple of drinks of a summers evening in the beer garden , keep up the good work ( great team!)

AMAZING!!! Went down to the elm tree today as they have started doing carvery. Needless to say was not disappointed at all! Amazing selection, perfectly cooked will 100% be back.

I had a fantastic lunch here. The food was large in portion and tasted great, but possibly a bit too large for a lunch. I can't help thinking that if the portions were slightly smaller, maybe the price could be reduced to make it slightly more inviting. Although not overly busy, I still had to wait 40 mins for my lunch to arrive and people who ordered 15 mins after me with the same meal got served first, and I was alone. This said, the service was pleasant enough and the food was good.

Went to the Elm Tree for lunch, although food good they brought all the food out together, nachos and olives with baslamic vinigar and bread with the main meals so had to send mains back as we couldn't eat all at once. Too be honest thought it would of been common sence, but hence the girl just looked at me but eventually took it back.

I've had several meals here, never disappointed. Their fish and chips was outstanding. However, the latest visit was very disappointing. The fish was half the size of what was previously served for the same price. When I asked if they had mistakenly given me the smaller appetite (sa) meal, the answer was no. I'd hate to see the 'sa' portion. Will not be returning.

Food came out on an extremely hot plate. As if the food had been cooked on the plate. Then to burn and blister my hands after not being told the plate had been cooked too!

Lovely little pub, ,sat outside in the sunshine on Sunday but that was about the only nice thing. Of the 4 meals we ordered they only had the one which was the liver so afer several trips back to the bar after looking a the menu again and again we managed to get 4 meals. The one original meal tasted nice but the chicken was dry, the lasagna had way too much cheese on top and the fish was a bit burnt. The worst part however was after getting home when the liver kept making a reappearance and not in a good way! Will not be making a reappearane there that is for sure. Do not go unless you are happy to spend the rest of the day on the toilet!

I booked the Elm Tree for my reception venue last year. Since booking them, they have had about 3 different event managers and neither of them knew what the last one has arranged and 1 didn't even know we had booked. Since the last one left in October 2016 I have tried countless times to get in touch with Phil (new events manager) by leaving phone messages with names and numbers, visiting the pub to be told he isn't in he will be in at such and such time. Turn up then and he's in a meeting or still isn't in. The place is so unorganised and quite frankly if they cant get the planning right before the wedding there's no hope for it to be organised and perfect on the day. I for one will be taking my custom elsewhere. Its sad because its such a beautiful venue and they were recommended to me by numerous friends who have had their receptions there previously. If it wasn't for such poor communication and organisation id gladly stay but I cant have my wedding in the hands of people who cant even return my calls with just 6 months to go. Sorry but I would not recommend the Elm Tree for such an important event!
