ELSA Next Generation - Education, Learning, Skills and Achievement - is a Community Interest Company that delivers bespoke educational programmes to young people within Hertfordshire, Essex and East London. Working across a variety of educational settings, we deliver in mainstream schools, schools where students have social, emotional and /or mental needs, centres that support students who have been permanently excluded, those who struggle with neurological and physical impairment, young people who are living within our care system and care leavers. ELSA Next Generation is a proud Professional Partner of the Hertfordshire Virtual School. Our aim is to engage with every young person that we meet and help them understand what skills employers are looking for in the next generation. We aim to bridge the gap between education and employment for the young people living within our region. Our work is only possible with the exceptional support of our business volunteers. At every event, we take in volunteers from all different sectors of commerce to help educate students in specific company approaches to recruitment as well as using their own unique stories to inspire and raise aspirations. Would you be prepared to attend an event as a volunteer? Could you run a workshop? Perhaps you could interview students to help better prepare them for a ‘real' interview? Could you help mentor and support our young people through our buddy system? Or perhaps you may be able to offer a work experience placement? Or could you even fundraise with ELSA as your charity of choice?Inspiring the next generation is crucial for all concerned, and we would welcome your support in any way possible.
