I can’t help but wonder what a dog’s letter to its owner would read like if it was staying with us for a while 😂.......I’ll have a think.

We were recommended Elton Canine Services by a friend, and we were not disappointed. We dropped our 19 month old rescue dog, Kevin, off early Thursday morning for a 2 night, 3 day stay. After a warm welcome fromTony and some lovely, happy dogs, Kevin soon found a particular playmate and he couldn't look happier as I left. We received regular updates, which were much appreciated, including video footage of Kevin playing with his new friends. I picked him up tonight and he's so calm and happy, and has completely crashed out! He's had a great time, and we are so pleased, as it's the first time we've left him for a couple of nights, since we got him nearly a year ago. We will definitely leave Kevin with Tony and his family again. Thanks guys!!

We have a young cockapoo, Topsy, we wanted her to go to a home from home situation when we left her to go on holiday. Tony was recommended to us and after a short visit he agreed to have her for a couple of overnight stays. During the first one much to our surprise she settled really well, seeing a video of Tony gaining her trust we could see why, and that video gave us confidence. She has just had her second stay and has become even more settled and is quite happy socialising with the other dogs. Topsy has formed a lovely bond with Tony, which we are delighted about we can now go on holiday knowing she will be a happy and contented little dog while we are away. Thank you Tony...

We collected our three furbabies today after they had spent a fabulous week’s holiday with their now Uncle Tony at Elton Canine Services in literally a wonderful home-from-home, relaxing environment. They made new dog buddies, they chased about and played without a care in the world and were treated as family during their stay! Tony took the time and trouble to put photos and very amusing videos of our dogs on his facebook page, which was a great comfort when you’re abroad and we were very grateful for it. Our dogs were a credit to us and would be welcomed back (date already in the diary �) what could be better than that....!! We can’t recommend Elton Canine Services highly enough, they are fantastic ��

Undoubtably Elton Canine Services is the best place for home boarding. Tony is direct, honest, professional, approachable and provides a first class home environment for all his house guests. Our German Shepherd Ralph is a superb loving loyal boy and lives with and is best friends with Ted (a regular Elton guest). Ralph needed a little help as he often forgets himself and what acceptable behaviour is with other dogs. We were worried how he would adapt and wanted both Ralph and other guests to be safe, settled and happy. From the first assessment Ralph connected with Tony and we continue to be blown away by how well he has settled, how well he deals with all his new furry friends and how much he loves his stays with Tony and family. We know he’s in the best place and the love and help he gets is truly fantastic. There is no better place for Ralph than Elton Canine Services. Thank you Tony...

Tony has just had our dog Kita for 2nights and 2 days. As she is quite a nervous dog we have always worried about how she would be with a number of other dogs around her. Thanks to Tony she apparently coped well and settled quickly. It is so lovely to feel confident in the person that you leave your beloved pet with. I would highly recommend Tony he obviously knows what he's doing and that made it so much easier leaving her with him for the 1st time. We will definitely use him regularly when we go down South to visit family. Thankyou once again.

Tony Elton is an exceptional home boarder. We recently had our little dog, Jessie, stay over for two and a half weeks while we were away on holiday. I had concerns about Jessie's behaviour with other dogs, as she is a rescue dog with an unknown past, but Tony was very reassuring and so gentle with her, that he totally put me at ease. The lovely photos that he put on Facebook and the update that he sent me helped no end, and it was so nice to see Jessie happy and well looked after. I would recommend anyone to use Elton Canine Services in a heartbeat.

This was the first time we had left Max, we didn’t want kennels, we wanted a home from home environment where Max would feel at ease. Tony certainly ticks all the boxes. Large garden for the dogs to play, sniff and do what dogs need to do. Home from home where Max had free rein of the downstairs including sleeping on the sofa, just like he does at home. Tony maintains your routines with feeding, bedtime etc. Tony had various dogs throughout Max’s stay which Max really enjoyed. He especially found a friend in Jenson. We collected him this afternoon and he has literally slept until his dinner, then gone back to the sofa and back to sleep, he cannot keep his eyes open, he is shattered, which is proof of just how much fun Max has had, none stop on the go. I would recommend 100% and I know when we go away in the summer - (already booked in), Max will be well looked after.

Thank you so much for looking after Poppy and Mabel for us over the last two weeks they looked so settled with your family when we picked them up last night. We love the fact that you treat them the same as your own family pets allowing them to share your own home even Poppy sharing your settee and garden dining table just like home from home for them . The best thing for us is your regular updates of photos on Facebook so we could see how they was settled with you, I will definitely be booking them in again next time we go away as this is just like home for our dogs and a far cry from your normal cold run of the mill kennels. We would highly recommend you to any one looking for that extra care and a loving home for their dogs, thank you so much will be in touch again soon.

So tonight we picked up Pongo and Betsy after they spent 15 nights in the care of Tony and his family.



I had a worry free holiday. It was clear from the moment we dropped both dogs off that Tony is a man of great skill, and of immense love for animals. Both our kids are tricky (they are rescues) but he clearly understood their needs and, to be frank, we knew he wasn’t going to take any crap!



Tony and his family take your dogs as if they were their own. They are carefully introduced to the other dogs, and share the home with them and Tony and his family. We were regularly updated with Facebook posts and personal messages, so we felt really confident they were happy!



When we picked them up tonight, Pongo the podgy Puggle looked better than we had seen him in ages! Both are now sleeping like logs. Not sure who had the better holiday!



Thanks Elton Canine Services!! We would recommend you wholeheartedly and will definitely use you in the future - space permitting!!

Our puppy Ziggy had his 1st night away from us last night and has returned a happy and sleepy dog! I followed Tony's page on FB for a while before eventually arranging to take Ziggy to meet him. Ziggy was immediately in puppy heaven surrounded by other dogs with lots of space to run around. Tony did a great job of providing 'pupdates' on FB so we could see how well Ziggy had settled in. I would thoroughly recommend Tony's service and know that Ziggy will have a great stay when he next visits in October. Thanks Tony!

Our Labrador pickle has never left our side in the six and a half years we have had him. Our problem arrised when we had a four day holiday and could not take him. We felt so worried about leaving him in kennels untill a friend told us about Elton canine services. We went away for our break still thinking would he be ok. Well we needn't have worried. He had an amazing time. He was treated as one of the family in a safe , secure and loving home. Tony certainly knows his dogs and we will definitely be sending pickle back. The ease in which he fitted in was a sign of how hard Tony and his family work to make sure all the dogs in their care are looked after so well. Can't wait for our next holiday and neither can pickle.

Just left my cockerpoo Radley for the first time at Elton canine services, couldn’t have asked more from Ecs with his home from home experience. Tony provides a professional and experienced approach. The dogs are kept in a safe and controlled environment. Radley came home as though he’d never been away. I would like to thank Tony and his family for making Radley and ourselves welcome � xx

It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are to Tony and family at Elton Canine Services.

We rescued Archie aged 6 months knowing very little about his background other than he had been bullied by a resident dog and given up by his previous owners.

It was evident very early on that Archie was a nervous boy, particularly of men. Cowering, barking and running away were a daily challenge with strangers.

We contacted Tony following a recommendation from Archie’s groomer and had an initial 2 hour assessment at our home. Tony was clearly very patient and knowledgeable and able to explain to us why Archie was reacting to certain situations and how best to change our behaviour to deal with him.



6 months on, having adopted all Tonys guidance, and Archie is a more relaxed, happy and confident dog...improving everyday.

With a week long holiday booked and having not left Archie in the 10 months since rescuing him we were very nervous about leaving him.



Tony invited us round to see where Archie would be and to meet the other dogs. We came away knowing he was going to be very well looked after. The dogs have free run of the downstairs of the house and are made to feel like part of the family and one of their own. Tony kept us so well updated with how Archie was getting on, with pictures and (highly amusing!!) stories of his day. Although Archie is normally so nervous of men, Tony gained his trust and even posted pictures of him sitting on his knee, we couldn’t believe it!! Archie was obviously having as good a time as we were!!



He has settled in back home fine but is already looking forward to his next trip to ECS. We couldn’t recommend you more. Thank you Tony and family!!

It is wonderful to go away on holiday in the knowledge that my “pack” are looked after as well as they are at home. They thoroughly enjoy their time with Tony and his family, and I can honestly say that they look forward to THEIR holidays as much as we do! Tony is wonderful while we are away and always updates Facebook so we can see what they’re up to. We found Tony by a recommendation from a friend and now we wouldn’t use anyone else. I am extremely protective over my dogs. One of which has medical ailments which needs closely monitoring and managing if need be. My dogs are never left with anyone but close family but Tony is the only person I would trust to look after mine. He has a natural affinity with dogs which is rare to find. Manages to make dogs feel completely at ease and has similar morally correct training methods as myself.



He is knowledgeable and ‘understands’ dogs.

Doris our 4 month old Miniature Schnauzer has just spent the last 5 days with Tony and his family and has had an amazing time socialising with the other guests! Being a new addition to our family, naturally we wanted to be sure we made the right choice having received a personal recommendation about Elton Canine Services. We had already booked a holiday before we got Doris and was naturally hesitant to use kennels at such a young age, so ECS seemed the perfect solution. We are extremely grateful for the love and care that Doris received during her stay. Thank you to everyone (other dogs included) that embraced her spirit and was involved in her well being. A truly 5 star service and Doris will be back!

Buster has just got home from his 2 week holiday with Tony and his family. We couldn’t possibly have asked for a better service. On top of his excellent care, Tony provided us with regular updates and photos and put our mind at rest over issues he had. Couldn’t recommend highly enough

After recommendations we decided that Elton Canine Services would be an ideal place to leave our Cocker Spaniel Logan when we went on holiday. Tony asked for us to visit with Logan so that he could conduct an assessment to ensure that Logan would be suitable for home boarding with other dogs he looks after. This went fine and so we arranged for Logan to have a trial overnight stay with Tony and Paula before we left him for our holidays. This was more for our benefit than anything else as in the two and a half years we have had Logan we have never left him with anyone other than family. As soon as we arrived Logan remembered Tony and pulled on the lead to meet him. Tony introduced Logan to the other dogs he had with him and Logan made himself at home straight away so we left feeling a little nervous about leaving "our boy." We needn't have worried at all. Tony and Paula kept us updated on how Logan was getting on with several pictures/videos and comments about how he was doing on Facebook. He clearly was enjoying himself and Tony is great with all the dogs he has and you can tell that Logan has found new friends with not only the other dogs but with Tony and Paula. We would like to tell anyone thinking of using Elton Canine Services that Tony puts you and your four legged friend at ease and looks after them in the same way as he does his own beautiful dog. This has been so important to us as leaving Logan was the only thing that was worrying me about our upcoming holiday. We can go away with no concerns at all knowing Logan will enjoy his holiday too. After hearing great reviews about Elton Canine Services, my husband and I decided to send our five month old Labrador puppy there for 4 nights, whilst we went on holiday.



From the moment she went for her initial assessment we knew she would be happy and well cared for.



Tony always has large numbers of regular visitors to stay and we can see why. Tony gives regular updates regarding how your dog is getting on and posts pictures to reassure you that they are getting on well.



Luna had great fun and has come back home happy and relaxed. I will definitely send Luna back here without any concern.
