Ely Cathedral

Very impressive building. Worth a visit. Stained glass museum inside also interesting.

Amazing inside. Such a beautiful cathedral. Free on Sundays. Just give a donation. Lovely.

Seriously awesome architecture. I never expected the cathedral to be so magnificent. The design is slightly different to the other cathedrals at Salisbury or Winchester. So if you are looking for a different style of design then this is one.

I think this is my favourite cathedral in the UK, and well worth the short train visit from Cambridge (the cathedral is around 15 minutes walk from the train station). There's plenty of history to discover, and an excellent gift shop too (including books on the Cathedrals itself and of the local area).

Very imposing and impressive cathedral. The interior is well maintained and although relatively bare was still quite majestic. The reason for a lower rating however is down to the high admission charges. I appreciate they have to fund the maintenance but I feel the high price of up to £18 per adult is too high and would put people off (as it did us). They do have a policy to never turn someone away if they could not afford a ticket but I doubt many people would be comfortable making this claim. So we never got to see more 90% of the cathedral sadly.
