Emerald Pool Fishery Description
Its 4 lakes set in 8 acres upon the somerset levels with 6 holiday cottages which sleeps 4 /9 please telephone for cottage information. Food avaliable on site, Toliet facillities available and bait and tackle through main season. Fishing is ultra easy on Ruby, very easy on sapphire, Emerald is slightly harder with lots of bream and tench with carp to double figures and Jade has our larger fish carp from 5lb to mid thirties. Night fishing allowed, please telephone prior to arrival, cost is £19 for 24 hours, up to 2 rods and additional rods are £2. Day ticket prices are £7 for one rod and £2 for any addiditionals. Carp sacks and any fish keeping devices are not permitted on site, all fish to be returned immediately.

Happy Easter! Summer is coming🎣
An angler on Jade down from Swindon for a few days had several good doubles bait unknown. Also from Swindon regular Dave Bryant who stayed with us for four days fished each pool in rotation and had good results on every one with most of the catches being carp to about 8lbs and some very nice tench and bream. Two local anglers who normally fish emerald pool had a day on Jade and caught countless skimmers with bream in the 4lb range and carp to low doubles. Plenty of good fishi...ng ahead with good weather looming along with longer days our report just before this one is another of our local anglers and he has had a great start already with some good fish from sapphire pool which holds some really decent carp into double figures and has become a pool that doesn't get used as much as it should be the fishing on this one can be very good a more in depth report on Don sages catches will be published later in the week.

Donald Sage fishing staying in one of our cottages is having a great time! On Saturday whilst fishing Sapphire he had a 10lb Common Carp on a feeder rod using pellet. On Sunday he had a total of 26 Carp out of Jade including sizes of 16.7lb and a 14.4lb. He says “What a great start to the week”!
This weeks report is very basic but l've been busy sorting things for this coming winter regarding the socking of LARGE carp into Jade and didn't have much time to talk to anglers about exact catch weights. However the warmer weather brought out a few night anglers and lots of smaller carp we're caught with a few better doubles and countless skimmers and good size bream from Jade and emerald. Regular Andy pilinger once again on emerald pool in a short session which is his nor...mal thing had over 140lbs of carp and 16lbs of skimmer bream on slow sinking bread Holiday makers merve and sue gatehouse staying on site with us fished from Grace cottage garden and had a good variety of fish including good sized carp from sapphire pool which nowadays gets a little neglected by day anglers and holds some good carp regularly caught in there well into double figures. Ruby as normal if you can't catch in there put some bait on your hook actually they get caught often on bare hooks whilst checking the depths so really no excuses. Jade pool in good form with lots of people catching decent fish of average size Frazier and his mate from Burnham when l last spoke to them had 10 carp between them with biggest to Frazier at aprox 10lbs. And Craig from Bridgwater just arrived at 3pm had an instant double around the 12lb mark. And the best fish of the year was caught last week weighed and witnessed at just over 27lbs a perfect pristine mirror l've been promised pictures and will post as soon as l receive them... bait unknown only tactic l know is it was caught in the early hours from the bottom. Roy Wooten and Pete rose fished emerald pool for two day sessions and both have had over 200lbs of carp each averaging 4lbs with the biggest just on or below 10lbs car park swims day one and today car park central island also plenty of silver fish. Danny from Cardiff staying on site with us has so far in a couple of very short sessions has had 12 carp up to 10lbs. All pools fishing well with great expectations for the coming months. And major works taking place at this fishery during the winter this year will make next year even better with changes taking place on each pool for massive improvements including the stocking of very large carp into Jade times and dates will be posted later this year the environment agency will be doing all the work and will be there throughout and be with us when the restocking takes place all done under there supervision Watch this space for updates during this summer.
