Based in North Yorkshire, but working across England, Dr Emma J. Wells MCIfA is a conscientious, experienced heritage consultant, lecturer and academic possessing expertise in Research, Consultancy and Training for some leading heritage and cultural projects.
Emma J. Wells Heritage Consultancy provides a unique blend of research-based advice and expertise, specialising in three main areas: Commercial, Academic and Training /Tutorial services. Services include heritage /historic buildings research and reports, e. g. heritage statements, DBAs, architectural appraisals, CMPs (inc. house histories); consultancy; project management; academic-related research and publications; and advice and preparation of funding bids. Emma also provides bespoke lectures, tours and training to academic, professional, and non-professional audiences, and has made appearances on and worked with a variety of media institutions including the BBC.

Emma J. Wells Heritage Consultancy takes pride in tailored, individual work for clients informed by experience and skills developed throughout the heritage, training and academic sectors, while acting as an associate to many different teams.
The range of services provided may be combined and tailored in order to implement a bespoke experience to suit a client's or particular project needs. Although I often work on projects independently, when required, I can refer to a wide range of specialist expertise /associates.
