***Introducing our new member of staff***
I am happy to share with everyone that James Lomas will be joining our team from next Thursday. He will be offering private singing lessons and working with our students in Musical Theatre lessons.
James has a wealth of experience and has worked in the West End in many shows for thirteen years including starring as the original ‘Billy’ in Billy Elliot the Musical, and became the youngest actor to receive a ‘Laurence Olivier Award’ for... Best Actor.
His other credits include Dirty Dancing, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita and Starlight Express. Film and television (king Ponce ‘short film’, MTV Super Sweet 16 U.K) including his most recent work starring as a vocal singing judge in the BBC1 talent show All Together Now, alongside Geri Halliwell & Rob Beckett.

The Summer Ballet Course is suitable for students aged 8 to 19 and will take place in Leeds at the beautiful studios of NSCD, 98 Chapeltown Road, Leeds, LS7 4BH. This is the 5th year in a row for our flagship Summer course in Leeds and it is definitely our most popular event of the year.
We have a fantastic course planned for students this year, and we are delighted to be welcoming Professional Choreographer, Louise Bennett to the team.
Louise Bennet has worked with some of the most famous dancers of this generation including Sergei Polunin and Xander Parish; she is a former winner of both the Kenneth Macmillan and Dame Ninette de Valois awards for choreography and has choreographed new works for:
The Royal Ballet, The Royal Ballet School, Ballet Central, Artelier, Tivoli Ballet, The Youth Ballet Theatre and most recently the National Youth Ballet.
Kimberley and I are absolutely delighted that Louise will be joining us in Leeds this year for the Summer Ballet Course. Louise will be delivering creative choreography workshops for the students every day on the course, culminating in a performance of her work for parents in the Riley Theatre on the final day of the course. Working with Louise Bennett will be a fantastic opportunity and I really hope that your child can join us this Summer.
There will also be an exciting programme of daily classes including ballet, repertoire, body conditioning, pointe work and more delivered by our team of ex Professional Ballet Dancers, including Michael Berkin, Kimberley Berkin and Paris Opera trained former English National Ballet dancer, Michael Raynaud.

My little girl attends the tiny feet dance on a Tuesday afternoon and loves it! Miss Emma and Miss Claire are fab at what they do - from early dance to singing and playing with instruments, the class was just what I was looking for. Highly recommended for anyone with young children interested in dance.

My favourite ballet studio in South Yorkshire! (They teach many other dance styles too). You get proper, professional instruction, correction, development & discipline, the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops & performances, get fit, & have loads of fun. Both the adult & children's classes offer incredibly good value for money, & 1-2-1 tuition is also available. Miss Emma helped me find my 'ballet feet' after a 20-year absence - I can't recommend her classes enough! :-)

My daughter would live here if we let her. She loves miss Emma & all the staff! I will recommed Emma to anyone.

Freya loves dancing at EPDA - all the hardwork Emma and her team put in to the classes, workshops, dancing opportunities and shows is evident in the quality of dancing and the smiling happy faces on each dancer! I love it so much even I've joined in with adult fitness and tap class! - your never too old to dance! If your thinking about joining EPDA - just do it! You won't regret it!

Excellent Dance school would give it more than 5 stars if could, Since My daughter started over 2 year ago her confidence has grown massively and has made fantastic progress with her dancing with thanks to the excellent teaching from Miss Emma. The children are able to access a variety of dancing styles and the school has some fantastic work shops through out the year that all children can access. New to the school is singing lessons, which are a massive hit with the children!!. Over all the most important part for me as a parent is that the school is a safe friendly and professional environment.

Being at EPDA is really fun. I've met a lot of friends through EPDA and the dance family is so close. I love dancing and the wide variety of styles makes it and easy choice to choose your favourite. I've always got good grades on my exams through the help and support of the teachers, and they are so friendly. There's never a dull moment here, so I think I'll be staying here for a long time.

Amazing dance school, my daughter has been coming to this school for a few years now and she loves every minute of it. The staff are friendly and approachable and offer my child fantastic opportunities in many different styles of dance. My daughter says she is proud to be part of such a great dance school.
