We are absolutely delighted that the Master has been awarded one of the 2019 Royal Medals – Patron’s Medal – by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) for "her contribution to environmental protection, conservation and the preservation of the British landscape."
The RGS has awarded Dame Fiona with the medal for "shift[ing] the debate on conservation and the environment into new territory for many people in the UK".
The Master said “I’ve always been a geographer at heart, ...so nothing could have delighted me more than receiving this award. I’m both thrilled and honoured".
The College are so very proud, and congratulate Dame Fiona on her achievement. 🥇💞😍

The quarter-final group stage of University Challenge is tonight at 8.30pm on BBC Two!
#TeamEmma taking on the highly rated St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford who gained the highest Round 2 score led by their formidable captain Freddy Leo.
With Team Emma having narrowly lost Round 1 to Glasgow 175-200, this score warranted inclusion in the highest scoring loser play-offs; here we triumphed 235-140 against King's College, London.... The second round saw us win an Oxbridge battle against St Peter's Oxford 195-120.
A win tonight means we would need only one more victory to gain a semi-final place, but a loss means an elimination quarter final after to stay in the series...

The Cambridge rugby teams played two valiant matches in the Varsity Matches 2018 against the arch-rivals Oxford.
The ladies' team won by three points to beat Oxford 8-5 and two of our girls helped the team to victory: Sophie Farrant and Emily Pratt.
Sadly the men were unable to keep the Varsity trophy and were beaten 38-16. Our two Emma players, Mike Phillips and Stephen Leonard, were vital to the fight, however, with Mike scoring two strong penalties for Cambridge in the fi...rst half of the match.
We're so proud of our players, and are looking forward to the forthcoming Cuppers matches next term!

We're delighted that our Emma catering team have once again won prizes at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg.
Nathan, our Deputy Head Chef's beautiful petit fours were a great success, and the whole team received silver medals for the cold buffet table and the hot kitchen.

We're delighted that our University Challenge team won their match against St Peter's, Oxford on Monday 19 November, with a final score of 195-120. This season the team have reached the quarter final group stages for the third consecutive year, and our winning team from the 2009/2010 season got to the final in the very same way. We're wishing the team the best of luck for the next round!
