Emmaus North Staffs

Emmaus North Staffs is part of the international Emmaus movement. We are one of over 350 Emmaus charities and groups across over 40 different countries. Our local charity was established in 2017 and soon after we acquired the historic and areas' largest furniture and household charity shop, Emmaus Furniture Mine, in Hanley. We relocated our business in May 2022 to open our first charity shop, in the Potteries Centre, Hanley (lower ground floor), and opened a new Furniture & Home Warehouse off Etruria Road, Hanley (near TGI Friday's). Both outlets are open to the public 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, with many hundreds of items furniture & household items on sale. Despite being a small charity with just 5 core members of staff, 4 funded members of staff, and a large team of amazing volunteers, we undertake around 150 deliveries and collections across North Staffs every week. Over 7, 500 every year! We support around 900 local individuals and families every year with furniture and white goods at very little cost to them, usually just £10. 50 to cover the delivery costs. This involves over 5000 items being provided to local people to help them each turn a house into a home.
