Well that’s it, my annual leave is over and it’s back to work tomorrow. Thank you to Miss Sally and Miss Aimee for looking after everything so well. After a great holiday and some much needed family time I am now really looking forward to the next few months. We have so much going on ......

A reminder that the studios will reopen on Monday 3rd September ( I will be back in the week after) I hope you have all had a lovely break and are all ready for show work. Only 24 weeks to go 😃
I am very pleased to announce that we will have new classes starting in September on a Friday at Brindley Ford.

Keep your eyes peeled as times and age groups will be confirmed very soon and we will be having 2 weeks free trial classes.
Also a quick reminder we have our Joseph workshop with west end star Ben James-Ellis on Sunday 16th September for students age 11+ we still have spaces left, please message me for details

🌟REMINDER🌟
I will be on annual leave until Tuesday 11th September. A reminder that we close after classes on Saturday 18th August and both studios are open again week commencing Monday 3rd September. Miss Aimee will be covering classes at Cheadle and Miss Sally at Brindley Ford.
When the studios are open I will still be available to answer text messages or emails however during the two week break it may take longer.

Well we are certainly doing well with exams this year. Results from 8th July arrived this afternoon and once again I am absolutely thrilled with them. Well done to everyone, you worked so hard. Myself and Miss Sally are so unbelievably proud of you all.
A special mention to Miss Aimee who after months of hard worked passed her intermediate tap exam with distinction. It certainly wasn’t an easy exam but we got there in the end. Well done I’m so proud of you.

😃JOSEPH WORKSHOP😃
I am thrilled to announce that after such a successful Hairspray workshop in May Ben is back with his Joseph workshop on Sunday 16th September at our Brindley Ford studio.
We had an amazing day in May, full of singing and dancing to the famous Hairspray songs and Joseph I’m sure will be just as successful.
... Students age 11+ are welcome to take part, there is no maximum age. Non ELDA students with dancing experience are also very welcome but spaces are limited so do not delay in securing your place. Some places have already been reserved.
Details as follows: Date..... Sunday 16th September Time.... 10am-3.30pm Cost.... £25.00 A packed lunch is required. Parents are invited back at 3.00pm to watch a performance of the days work.
Joseph is one of my favourite Westend productions so I am so excited.

A fantastic set of results landed on my doorstep this afternoon, so very very proud of all our students who took an exam on Sunday 1st July. You all worked so hard and deserved to do well. Both myself and Miss Sally are over the moon.

A very well done to Hannah and Lilly, two of our Brindley Ford students who successfully auditioned to be bbodance junior ballet scholars. The girls start in September when they travel to Manchester every month to have ballet classes with bbodance teachers. This is a huge achievement and we are so proud of them both. Well done girls you have worked really hard and well done to Miss Sally for all the work she has done with them.

Another fantastic exam session today. Despite the heat all of our students were calm and happy and all seemed to enjoy themselves. Most of the little ones couldn’t get into the studio fast enough to show the examiner their work and back out to show mummy’s and daddy’s their badges and even though they all came out VERY hot and sweaty the seniors all had smiles on their faces.
As always they all looked beautiful and a huge thank you to parents for the effort you make at exam... time to ensure they are my kind of exam ready 😂
Thank you to the mums that helped with hair (all practicing for show week 😃) and once again thank you to Miss Sally for giving up another sunny Sunday 😎
A few weeks of calm now before our next session at the end of September.

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that our next Emmi-Lou Dance Academy production.......
🌟 TAKE OFF 🌟
Will be held at Stoke-On-Trent Repertory Theatre, Tuesday 19th - Saturday 23rd February 2019
... We are all so excited and ready to start rehearsals. Ideas are already in place and music and costumes are well on the way to being organised.
Letters will hopefully be given out at the weekend with all the information and dates you need to know.
I really hope you are as excited as we are and will let you child be a part of this fantastic opportunity. It is hard work but so worth it and I can’t wait 😃

Another exam session over, one more to go and then we can relax for a few weeks - not to many though !!!!! 😃
Once again I was thrilled with how calm and well behaved everyone was, the little ones all took it in their stride and were so excited and the older ones are now so used to taking exams it has just become second nature. Many of our older girls have had school exams over the last few weeks but still managed dancing exams in their busy schedule. I am so proud of you all....
As always everyone looked very beautiful and immaculate. Thank you to parents for making such an effort and to the mums who helped with hair.
We were very lucky to have such a lovely examiner who made everyone feel very relaxed and everyone came out very happy so fingers crossed for results.
Thank you to Miss Sally for giving up her Sunday especially in the lovely sunshine.
For those who have exams next Sunday we will see you then.

THE BEST DANCE SCHOOL EVER

My two daughters have danced with ELDA, each loving the style of teaching, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and ability to make some great friends.

My eldest started dancing in 2001 and with Miss Emma's incredible teaching and support was awarded a scholarship to Elmhurst Ballet School in 2009. She has just this year graduated and is going to dance with Ballet Wales for the winter season.

My youngest was born with two club feet and suffered persistent pain and challenges with dance. She was never treated any differently but the teachers were considerate and understanding if she was struggling.

ELDA will remain in our hearts � as a big part of helping to make my two girls into the beautiful young ladies they are today.

My little girl absolutely loves dancing at Emmi-Lou dance academy, it has given her so much confidence in her self & now even gets up on stage full of smiles, she thinks a lot of miss kym & the team... Thank you so much xx

My daughters have been dancing with Emmi-Lou for five years and they love it. They attend on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the lessons they take make up the physical education part of their Home Education. I wouldn't chose any other dance studio, Miss Emma and Miss Sally are wonderful, calm and so patient with the children.

Miss Emma taught me to dance from the age of 3 and since then I fell in love with dancing. Had it not been for Emma I would not be where I am today, not only as a dancer but as a person as she has been there for me since I can remember.

From the private lessons to the auditions that Emma organised and accompanied me to, I would recommend ELDA to any child with a dream to dance.

Love the shows - the variety of dance styles was fabulous and the inclusivity of all ages from little ones right through to Mums was brilliant. Looking forward to the next one, highly recommend.
