Emmitt Plant is one of the largest privately owned 'Self Drive' Plant Hire companies in the east of England with depots in Ipswich, Suffolk, Diss, Norfolk and Corby, Northamptonshire. For over 30 years Emmitt Plant has provided the very highest levels of customer care to a diverse range of clients.

We currently run in excess of a thousand items of plant. From Mini Diggers to Dumpers, Rollers to Compressors & of course Telehandlers including the 16mtr ‘Merlo 38. 16 Roto’ machines. The equipment is modern and backed by fully equipped workshops, spray shop and stores. Items of plant are expertly maintained and are backed up by a highly trained fleet of mobile service engineers, who travel to site in fully equipped vans. Our engineers are in constant contact with our service department at head office to enable quick response times to all site queries.

There are currently 14 fully trained service engineers. Nine can be mobile at any one time. We also have an apprenticeship scheme with young engineers attending training college at Bircham Newton. Our engineers are CSCS card holders and Emmitt have attained a CSCS Platinum award. We are also AVETTA approved, SafeHire, CHAS accredited and HAE members.
