Allow this parable on the pencil to encourage you to know that you are a special person and only you can fulfill the purpose to which you were born to accomplish!
"The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.
“There are 5 things you need to know,” he told the pencil, “Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”
... One: “You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone’s hand.”
Two: “You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.”
Three: “You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”
Four: “The most important part of you will always be what's inside.”
And Five: “On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.”
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Physical exercise is important and many of us spend few hours a week at the gym or engage ourselves in some outdoor activities but what about brain exercise? What about mental and emotional fitness?
Here is quick tip for those who believe in holistic approach to achieve best health.
1. Set a routine for 15 minutes ...any cardio... 2. Set a routine for 2 minutes ...pause every 2 hours, sit back, drop those shoulders down, release tension around jaws and do belly breathing ( deep inhale/ exhale) 3. Set a routine to do anything creative for 10 minutes- for example- that idea you always wanted to work on ...or learn different language, instrument, paint, write a poetry etc
By doing so, we are addressing different segments of brain, this is training for your brain! Everyday practice brings miraculous results!

When we struggle with intense emotions, sadness, anxiety or even addiction (coffee to over consumption of alcohol) it’s the mind that overpowers you! It’s refusing to take your instruction! The mind becomes your master!
Where as its purely meant to serve you! It’s a simple yet profound fact!
... Then question is how to work on your mind? When I use ‘self-care’ in my workshops it’s meant to work just on your mind!
The following are the key points we all can understand and work on;
1. Understand the brain is just the hardware and the mind is the software 2 . You are the programmer 3. Your program so far is a cocktail of information you received from the environment as a child, a teen and as an adult. It gets influenced by your environment every minute, everyday 4. Until now you might be unaware that every repeated action and reaction so far has made your habits, which over a period became your personality 5. You can change this pattern, you can tweak information going in, you can create brand new programs, once you realise you are the master, you are the controller but by default you gave the remote control to your mind. It is achievable!
