It’s feel-good in film form. #MammaMia2 is in cinemas now.
Went for the 1st time to empire yesterday.
my husband & I booked the D-box screen.
it was amazing. relally comfy seats that recline, move & vibrate to the movie. & only 15 seats in the room. All at really good prices.
were always Cineworld lovers. but we've defo been converted to Empire now.
We decided to try Empire after being shocked at the price of Cineworld tickets.
For less than we would have paid at Cineworld we bought tickets with the reclining seats.
What a lovely cinema experience, the seats are so comfortable and the staff were all really helpful. The Cinema and toilets are really clean.
Lovely experience, will definitely be using Empire from now on.
Visited yesterday with my mother who has very limited mobility. The film was in the Impact Luxe screen ( enormous screen!) and the lady who sold us tickets very kindly recommended row J which is quite far up the stairs, however there is a disabled lift that allows direct acces to this level making it so much easier for Mum. Thank you to the staff, made our cinema experience much more enjoyable!
Used to be a cineworld card holder for years! Always wanted to try empire but obvs would of been a loss of money at the time left cineworld due to not going as much anymore. Then one day when a new film came out we decided to give the empire a whirl! All i can say is i wish i cancel my cineworld card soonier!! Empire has better sofas, better staff and a better atmosphere and also cheaper prices the only crap thing is they do memberships
The empire cinema was really great never been there before and it was mine and my boyfriends first time yesterday afternoon to watch Fifty Shades Freed and ticket prices, food & drink were very reasonable and not expensive and ticket machines was easy to use as I booked the film online and when we got there I only had to put in my reference number on the ticket machines and got cinema tickets straight away. The sofa seats were really comfy too and definetly wud go again and definetly recommend to family and friends x
Love the variety of screens, great prices for tickets and food. Staff are friendly and super helpful. The customer service is quick and my issue was sorted within hours of an email being sent. This is always my go to cinema wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
I'm originally from Yorkshire and iv never seen a empire cinema before let alone cinema's with sofas and recliner chair options AMAZING. I came the 1st time to watch jumanji in dbox 3d with my son that was amazing top quality and the chairs did what they were suppose to do. 2nd time I came was with my daughter to watch coco in 3d. We payed for the sette. My daughter was over the moon. The only issue was we had payed for the seats before we arrived and as we were waiting for the film to start people who had payed for normal chairs were jumping into the settee or recliners because the cinema wasnt full . I feel tickets should be checked as it's not fair on the people who have generally payed for these seats other than that an amazing cinema and experience we will be back.
First time taking my toddler(22m) to the cinema today so was a little nervous but every staff member I met were friendly and helpful. Lady at the til helped me get the best price/seat, security showed me to the lifts, buggy got stored in office & lady carried popcorn to our seat for us. Thanks Empire, you made it stress free!!
Exceptional service yesterday when I took my daughter for her first ever cinema experience, and a first for me at Empire too. As we had never been before, one of the team there helped us to get our tickets, explaining everything really clearly. We loved the Peter Rabbit movie, my daughter loved the sofas and we will definitely return. Thank you.
Easy ticket order and pick up, easy parking. Clean and comfortable screen, good temperature. Had the reclining seats which were amazing, although standard seats look good too. Didn't buy food but prices were reasonable vs other cinema chains. Cafe and comfortable and clean seating areas in foyer. A very positive experience.
Clean, tidy and the staff are always helpful and pleasant. The only thing I can think of that is annoying is that you can only buy 1 beer at a time. Sofas are great and the kids always have fun when we go.
Cannot fault this cinema, always clean, always friendly staff and prices for tickets aren't too over the top. Only issue would be the fact the recliner seats are too comfortable...I don't think I can ever go back to sitting in a standard seat :P
First time for a while I had been to the cinema, sadly had to come out of screen 5 as was not feeling very well, during the film, staff were really good got me a cold drink, make sure i was ok when I had to visit the loo, very clean loos disabled was easy to use, I am a wheelchair user, I think the space between the screen and the wheelchair spaces were not big enough, felt I was too close to the screen, other than that I was really enjoying the film.
Went early on a Friday and bought D box tickets. We weren’t offered 3D glasses and ended up having to run back to the ticket stand to get them right before the start of the film to then be told they were £1 a pair ! Then, the young man on the ticket stand had turned on the wrong seats so our seats weren’t moving etc, We were told someone would be coming to check the seats once the film had started. No one turned up until 3/4 of the way through the film we had to move seats early on.. Just an annoying visit experience.
Nice impressive cinema, found the screen a little close as we were on row B and legroom was a little tight for me! Hate the fact it lost me almost £5 extra to park as it wasnt after 4pm! Overall made a nice change from cineworld, ditch the high booking fees for prebooking online and offer a deal for parking and im sure id go more often!
Cinema is lovely however very long way from entrance to screens! The sofas are comfy & even have cushions on.
Parking was an issue so maybe discounted parking in the buttermarket would be an idea because Ipswich is so expensive for car parking anyway & if I could park easily & cheaper I would definitely visit regularly
The noise and shaking from the more louder screen makes it a bit unpleasant you feel like your being shelled by heavy artillery no sounproofing you need to try it out and make your own mind on this point
My first trip to Empire Cinema. I’m not great at cinemas just ask my wife! However this Empire Cinema experience was a 5 out of 5 for me from the excellent customer services from all personnel to the very comfortable auditorium. I am now a Cinema goer 😂 cannot wait to go again!
Cinema is good enough but the fact it’s situated in the most expensive place to park in town and they don’t refund you for parking is ridiculous, if I had known I had to be here after 4pm I would have gone to another cinema because cineworld always refunds the parking , so a further £4-£6.20will be added to taking my children out just to park at this cinema not coming back
