Very comfortable, great view of the screen from wherever you sit. Helpful staff.
The Cinema is fairly new so very clean. As usual and thing bought over the counter is more expensive than it should be. But if you don't buy its ok.
They have 9 screens fairly small but comfortable.
I take advantage of the cheaper price on a Tuesday. Always clean, comfortable seating, a pleasure.
Beauty and the Beast in screen 9 supposed to start at 12.10, yesterday march 18th by 12.20 nothing happening. Had my friend who thought the film wouldn't happen Another what seemed an age or so passed still nothing, people running up and downstairs think several people going to ask what's happening? Member of staff eventually came said they were trying to fix it ! Then another age goes By 12.50 we were told Screen 9 wasn't working and we would all get full refunds and refund on any drinks etc. Queued in wrong queue for refund then got out queued again right queue got the refund We managed to get to another screening at 15:50 which had pay for another ticket last two seats together as 1:00 was already sold out and cause we didn't get our refunds till near 2 as apparently 50 was in that screen so wouldn't of made the 2:20 either but a great day was still had by me and my friend as we still got to see film just different time then planned issues beyond our control but it was just one of them days
Always a pleasant experience. Seating is spacious & comfy especially in the impact screen.
War for The Planet of The Apes..a very clever reflection on current day American society and where it might be heading. That's my take on this excellent film although, I might be misenterpreting what the director intended? Woody Harlson is excellent as the main bad guy.I was left reflecting on a lot of issues (how we can easily be led into believing if their different, their bad).. And it was 'cheap Tuesday', a winner on all counts!
On the whole a good cinema, low prices (£4/5 on Tuesdays) always clean with a good selection of films and helpful staff. Refreshments are a bit high priced though, typical of all cinemas. The screens are fairly small, impact and screen 9 are the biggest at around 12 metres in width: if you want the big screen experience like me, its best to sit towards the front. Also, sometimes they only show a film in 3d, with no 2d screenings which is annoying for those of us who hate 3d. Would be nice to have more indie films too.
Great location and kids love it. Only (minor) negative my seats had popcorn still there so had not been cleaned thoroughly, that said there was loads of rubbish on the floor after our film so not surprised they had not been cleaned as well as one would like - so much rubbish left by cinema goers not enough time to clear it!!
Clean, modern and reasonably priced cinema. Gotta love half priced films on Tuesdays too!
Best value for money cinema around
Pros: Good seat towering ensures you’re watching the movie, not the back of someones head. The screen was clear, the sound good and on Tuesday it’s super cheap
Cons: Legeoom was poor, even in the premium seats and the queue for popcorn was farcical.
Mix up booking the VIP seats in the upper area but the lady who was using the seats also said the person on sales had messed up their booking too. We were both cool with our seats in the end, however we didn't know the VIP toilet was actually out of order and it's the only one in there. To access other toilets you'd have to leave the area via the coded lift and use the other facilities- but how to get back? And during the film. It's a good enough cinema though but trying to book a time and day on your phone is a pain on their rather sloppy clumsy website.
I don't know from where I should start..., probably. The first thing is a very bad and slow customer service. Second one, I don't know how, but for me is uncorrect, and unacceptable to do your dinner in the cinema, there where a lots of couples and families that made them dinner in. The smell was a terrible.
Booked to see a special event of the Dave Gilmour live in Pompeii. Paid a huge premium over the normal price £16.20 and found a small screen (6) and the sound whilst good was ridiculously quiet for a rock concert. I was going to complain but no one else seemed bothered. The door to the corridor for toilets and concessions is straight onto the lit area outside so the many frequent opening of the doors for people detracts from the film. Overall I was disappointed with the experience as I was looking forward to hearing the music on a great Dolby sound system like at a concert, not on the hifi at home watching a DVD. Checking with other friends they got what I wanted and thought I'd paid for at other cinemas around London. Won't be rushing back...
Urgh. Why was I waiting half an hour to get to the front of the Walthamstow Cinema queue? Perfectly friendly staff when I get there, but nowhere near enough to meet demand. The lobby was incredibly crowded and it made the whole experience aggravating. I go to the cinema to relax, not be on edge the whole time. You can't just turn off in the Cinema either, you take that stuff in with you. I couldn't enjoy my movie. Just another reason to watch everything on my flat screen on Blu-ray or Netflix. Very sad.
Tonight’s showing of the Avengers at 7:30pm, Screen 7. There needs to be a member of staff at the door to cut 15 people approx entering as the film had already started. Someone needs to be present throughout as people were coming and going as they pleased waltzing in front of the screen and talking. The film was great but didn’t catch the first 10mins and moments throughout - I’ve never known disruption like it. Please just have a member of staff to witness present and sort it out.
Saturday 18th - Beauty and the Beast screening. It was supposed to start at 12.10 but didn't, just blank screen and not even adverts or trailers. 10/15 mins passed until one of us went out to check on an update. Staff didn't realise film hadn't started and went to find out what was going on. More time passed and still nothing, so again one of us went to check alongside other people. No managers on site on a Saturday and 2 Supervisors that were busy or hiding (according to staff members). At about 12.45/12.50 a Supervisor eventually told everyone that the screen wasn't working and everyone would receive full refund on tickets and anything purchased, but this was only after more chasing with questions from myself and other people. Very unhelpful and unprofessional staff arguing amongst themselves when they couldn't find supervisors. We were lucky enough to get into another screening just after 13.00 but overall a very disappointing level of service.
Just been told on the Walthamstow Life FB, that the manager supports the new build on the Town Square..... Shameful really.
Got charged £73 on Christmas eve for a family ticket (£5.50 x4) and an adult ticket (£8) plus 1 child ticket (£5.50) and 4 popcorn combos £5.50 each. One of the combo drinks we swaped for an ice blast but that couldn't have been more than £2-3 difference, not £15. Only realised after we've left the cinema. Should train your staff better at working the tills unless it was deliberately overcharged. If I ever do go back I will definitely be checking the receipt while still at the till.
