Empire Skatepark

We are sorry to announce that Empire is now closed. A couple of months ago at the final stage of completing a new lease our landlords changed hands, leaving us floating without one until now. We've been keeping up with all payments but heard very little from them. Thursday morning by changing our locks and taping a notice on the door, they let us know that they want us out in the next 12 days. We've only been allowed in once today to remove our stock and any valuables. Its co...me as a real shock to us all and been a crazy 24 hours. We've heard the parks rent is worth nearly 3 times what our original lease had us paying, so guess they have a new tenant.
Its not quite sunken in yet, but we have to say its been our pleasure running the park for the past 5 years, and we are truly gutted to see the journey come to a end. We would like to thank all our customers, volunteers, friends and family that have all made the place what it was.
We will keep you updated as we hear more.

Due to staff sickness the parks closed early this evening at 8pm, apologies for any inconvenience caused. We will be open for lessons as normal tomorrow morning at 9am with sessions from 10am - 10pm 👊

really going to miss the Empire skatepark had lots of fun and going to miss seeing my friends. There is no where else to go

empire skate is best skate park in Essex because local for me to practice my tricks every day pls every body nice there staff very supportive and worth paying for made me the skate boarder I am today ��� thanks lot

best skatepark in the world by miles, all the locals are very lovely, especially Andrew, he's my favourite, would highly recommend to anybody

Zack & Clara love skating at empire.. I highly recommend the skate lessons on a Saturday morning from 9am -10am for beginners or younger kids as it's skateboarding only during that time.. so more chance for the little ones to have a go with help from the teachers!!! ; )

We held out twin boys birthday here. The guys were so helpful and friendly. Everyone had a brilliant time. Think we will end up here mum st weekends now!! Thank you so much for a wonderful time. Highly recommended x

The staff are amazing. The shops awesome. The lessons they run are so good. Very welcoming and good atmosphere.

Thank you to the team - my son had a great time at the group session this morning. Everybody is really friendly and makes sure that everyone has fun!

My son went to his first skateboard lesson and came home really excited. He loved it. The guys were really friendly and for a first time he did loads. Really impressed.

My son and my niece had their first visit today, and absolutely loved it!! My son said thanks to empire I can do a few more things, his alot more confident!! They can't wait to come back!! Thank you to all the staff they were great!!

My 11yr old and his friends loved it!! Shame scooters can't go on the outside bowl though and also would be good to turn that upstairs bit into a cafe ? But seemed a great place and I know we shall be back soon :)

Love the park, love the crew, love the radness that happens each time I've been there.. can't wait to go again����

Its one of the best indoor parks I have been to, all the staff are helpful and great to chat to always have a laugh and joke here

Had my little boys birthday party here! All the children of all ages had a brilliant time! Harrys patience & skateboarding tuiton is outstanding even got my 60yr old dad skateboarding! Amazing place awesome staff :) thank you so much Harry, the children were just beaming the whole time & parents got to chill out with plenty of coffee & tea :)
